I first like the seeded glass look. Gives it a different dimension when the light is on. I'm not a fan of having to thread the cable through the links but it had to be done. I like that you can choose how bright you want the light to be based on the wattage you put in it. It does have a long link cable so it works great with high ceilings.

I absolutely love this light fixture! With the seeded glass and the beautiful, smooth black finish on it, this was ordered for my outdoor front porch. Once it arrived, I immediately knew that it was the perfect look and size to go inside my house at the bottom of the stairs. So that’s where I installed it.I’m in the process of remodeling a new home that I purchased on the shores of Lake Huron in northern Michigan. I’m trying to give it a balance between country or rustic look, yet to have all the conveniences and luxuries of a new home. This light fixture gave me that perfect balance. I left a little extra chain and wire looped at the top of it so I could adjust it to the perfect height, better to be too long and have to shorten it again then wish you hadn’t shortened it so much. It’s awful hard to extend it after it’s installed. I am going to go back and shorten the chain and wire just a bit and reinstall it but everything about this light fixture is absolutely perfect. Forget the fact that it is advertised for outside. If you like this fixture, don’t hesitate to install it inside your home like I did. I have no regrets!

In the package you get everything needed to install the front porch light, which includes the light housing, the chain, the mounting hardware, and an instruction manual. The instruction manual is somewhat helpful.My front porch light was starting to get weathered and rusty, so it was time for a replacement. This one is very attractive, and I like how it is weatherproof. Installation was not difficult, and I don't have any major suggestions other than letting you know that you should screw in the hook directly on top of the light housing before you weave the wires through the chain. Along those same lines, be sure to measure the chain and set the appropriate chain length before starting that weaving process as well.Based on the product pictures, I half expected the frosted glass to have a yellowish appearance, but that is not the case. The glass is clear, but is frosted to give it an old wavy glass look.This is a somewhat basic, but still very attractive outdoor light that would look good in a lot of different settings. They give you an extremely long chain and a lot of wire, so it could be installed to hang a pretty far distance if desired. The materials feel like they are high quality, and I feel confident that it will last for years to come. As such I feel that this is a five-star product.

I just installed this light over our front porch, and am impressed with how solid it felt while doing so. I had expected it to be very lightweight, but found it to have a good build quality. Everything needed to hang it is included, assuming you're replacing an existing light as I was. That is, you'll need to have a standard light fixture electrical box properly mounted in place with appropriate wiring.A generous length of wiring, along with a ground wire, is pre-connected to the lamp, so you don't have to worry about getting into that. There is also a lengthy chain that matches the length of the wire, and the chain has a link on one end that can be opened and closed when you're attaching the chain to the light.One task you'll need to do is to thread the wiring through the chain, which is a bit of a bother due to its length. The ground wire has a tendency to kink if you're not careful - this happened to me a couple of times until I got the hang of it (no pun intended). I threaded the wires through every other link, which worked fine. As the instructions say, you really will need two pairs of pliers to open the link that's at the end of your measured chain length so you can shorten it. The links are surprisingly strong, so this was reassuring - no worries about any of the links bending or failing over time.One reviewer was concerned about the small plastic nuts that hold the light onto the electrical box, which I took seriously. The nuts are actually metal inside, with a plastic sheath molded around it. I tested the strength of the nuts fairly aggressively once I installed the light, and they seemed to be secure, so I'm not worried about it.The light looks great now that it's installed. It's a minimalist design, which is just what we wanted. No ornate multi-facet glass or metal work, just a simple rectangular shape, gently widening from top to bottom, with clear glass panels that don't create shadow patterns or disrupt the lighting at all.If you're not intimidated by simple electrical wiring (black to black, white to white, pull on the wires after tightening the wire nuts to make sure they're secure, etc.), this is a pleasant project. Just be sure that the power to the light is off (turn off the circuit breaker!), as you shouldn't be messing with a hot wire, especially if you're up on a ladder. I'm really pleased with how it looks.

Happy with my purchase. The design is simple and elegant. The build quality is good. Plenty of extra chain/wire for different applications. Easy to install. True to size, good value!This light paired with an Edison bulb is perfect. I went with the “HubSpace” Edison bulb so I could change colors/dim the light by app/alexa.
