No confidence in this test kit...used to confirm multiple professional soil analysis and found that the test results from this kit 1. did not come close to professional analysis.

I tested two lawn soil samples (averaged sampled) and a few controls: potting soil, barren soil, tap water and dissolved fertilizer. Other than, pH, iresults didn't make much sense. Fertilizer is low in Nitrogen and tap water is high in Potassium???The reagents may be expired, lack of QC controls. Barely any color change in general.Btw, I am a scientist and analytical testing is what I do for a living. pH reading made sense.

I got this to test the soil quality of some indoor plants. It turns out you are supposed to start with 1 cup of soil, so I think it's intended more for outdoor use, but it still works for smaller plants if you can get enough soil to grind up and sift a few tablespoons. I did not end up using a whole cup of soil.The directions are pretty easy, and while I don't have anything to compare the results to, I feel they are accurate enough for my needs. I have plenty of test materials for lots more tests so it will last me a while.

Easy enough to understand. Seems helpful and accurate. Much cheaper than a lot of other options. We will see how my garden does this coming spring now that I have this kit!

Ever since we moved out to the country, I’ve become really into gardening, whether it’s flowers, shrubs, herbs, or vegetables. I usually have pretty good success, but as I’ve gotten more serious about it, I’ve realized how important knowing the soil’s pH and nutrient levels can be. For example, some of my container garden beans and cucumbers didn’t grow as well as I expected, and I suspect it was due to a lack of nutrients.This soil test kit is super handy for checking things like pH, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Since it's the end of the growing season, I haven’t had a chance to put the results to full use yet, but I did test both the ground soil and a raised planter. The kit is pretty easy to use, and the instructions are straightforward to follow. I am hoping the test is accurate, but without sending soil off to my local extension, I wont know for sure. I do plan on doing this soon though so I can be confident in the results come next season.One thing to note is that this particular kit tests for all parameters (potassium, phosphorus, pH, and nitrogen) at the same time—you can’t test for just one nutrient individually. But that’s fine for me, as I plan to test everything at the start of next season.Overall, this is a great addition to my gardening tools. It will definitely take the guesswork out of knowing what nutrients are in the soil and what might be missing if my plants start struggling. I’m excited to use it more next season and feel more confident about which plants will thrive in different parts of my garden!
