Received the kit. Took samples a few days later. Results received back via email a week after I mailed the samples. Very easy and quick results.

I do a soil test on my lawn every year so I can plan my fertilizer regimen. I've used MySoil for years. But I needed a new probe. Picked up this set just for the probe and it has worked great so far. I have compacted red clay soil and this probe is able to penetrate and capture the soil sample. Just be sure to rotate it back and forth a few times to properly trap the sample. It would be nice if it included measurement markings along the shaft so I would know how deep into the soil it is.

Simple to use and good customer service. I forgot to put my sample code on the return, and they found it by my purchase date. The only complaint is that I think it too expensive. The report is pretty awesome.

You made it very convenient for us homeowners to get our soil tested in an easy to use package. Very straightforward instructions and quick results.I did have a problem collecting soil sample using your tool. It wasn't as easy as just sticking it in the ground and pulling out your sample. The dirt would not stay in the tube coming out of the ground. I did get enough to send in the sample.I would highly recommend this product.

The best thing about the MySoil test kit is that you have objective data on which to make decisions on what to add to the soil to provide an optimum growing environment. Without a soil test result, you are basically guessing at the what the problem is and how to resolve it - are the yellowed leaves a sign of nitrogen deficiency? Magnesium deficiency? Or? An additional benefit is that the MySoil test result shows levels of micronutrients in addition to the standard NPK mix. Well worth the expense.

There weren't too many reviews for this product, but I took a chance to get my soil analyzed. I have to say that I'm very happy with the product and the service I received.The items came promptly, and each package was neatly put together with clear instructions in each box. I also saw the picture of the soil probe in a previous review so I knew exactly what I was getting. I knew it was going to be small as I wanted something that came in a set package so I didn't have to fuss to much about what I needed.After using the probe, it made a lot of sense why it was so small. The container to ship the soil in was not that big so a larger probe wouldn't have made much sense. When poking the probe through my grass and soil I sometimes encountered small pebbles which prevented me from probing deeper into the soil in certain spots. However, this was easily solved by poking the probe in another spot.I would recommend that before getting samples that you water your lawn a bit as I found going through spots that were damp was easier to obtain samples from than from spots that were dry.In any case, once the items were packed and registered online, off it went to the post office. They recommended that you send the sample back within a day of packing it in the container. In less than 4 days, the company received the sample, and I received an email indicating that my results were ready the following day. I'm sure your mileage may vary, but I was extremely satisfied with the quick turnaround since it was suggested that the turnaround would take a few days.The analysis broke down what my lawn was deficient in, and made recommendations. However, I'm new to lawn care so I'm not quite sure what to do with the recommendations yet, but off to the internet I go to search for answers!If you're a newbie like me looking to take care of their lawn, this soil analysis kit did what it promised, and did it quickly. You won't get anything more, but I'm okay with that, and for the price I paid, I think this whole kit was very reasonable. Also, I know I will have to analyze my soil some more in the future, but I know that I'll be using this product again based off of this experience.
