I purchased a sodastream, but realize that it was costing me as much to make my soda as to purchase it. Until, however, I realize that I could refill the bottles myself. Massive savings.

Worked once then would only fill the tank 1/4 full, now won’t work at all. We’ve used it exactly 3 times.

I don't write reviews but have to in this case. I contemplated for 2yrs getting a refill adapter kit but never pulled the trigger. Being a brewer, I have the CO2 so that wasn't the issue...the issue were the negative reviews playing w my emotions! LMAO....What did it for me was running out of the pink bottle gas the other night and getting tired of not pulling the trigger. I did more research, read more reviews, and consulted with an experienced friend. The device came in a day or 2, and this morning I set it all up. I froze the empty canisters, set up the tank, attached the adapter (which comes with several extra washers etc, which aren't needed until the ones that are already installed fail), and weighed the empty frozen pink bottle (760g). I then attached the bottle to the adapter, inverted my CO2 tank (handheld) and barely cracked the tank open until I could just hear gas flowing into the empty pink bottle. I watched the gauge on the adapter. When it got to the top of the green band, I opened the main tank a little more to squeeze more CO2 in (I don't think any did) and shut off the main tank. I released the screw holding the pink tank in place, heard a little burst of co2, and was done. It weighed 1.96kg when done!! I haven't done the math, but I have a feeling it got close to 100%? regardless, I'm beyond happy with my purchase, and had no issues, ZERO! This thing is killer for the pink bottles!

This adapter works great! For the people out there saying it does not fill them all they way, they are correct, it doesn't. When SodaStream fills them, they pump fill them to a certain PSI. That is impossible to do without a pump. However, if you freeze the sodastream canisters for 24 hours and keep your filling tank in a warm place, you'll get them full enough. The initial expense of buying the tank and adapter is a little high, but it pays itself back quickly. We change the canisters 2-3 times a week, and my 20# CO2 tank lasts months.

I was skeptical about this product. And with the investment needed before refilling your first bottle, if it didn’t work you would be out a lot of money. But I’m pleased to report that this works very well. Be careful with the little o-rings…don’t force the bottle in or you can pinch/cut the rings. Luckily several replacements come with it. The bottle can be a bit tricky to get max full, but with some experimenting and reading others posts I think I got it down. The biggest difference maker is go slow. There is a safety valve in each bottle that trips if you go too fast.A quick safety note, the large nurse tank of CO2 that you will be refilling from needs to be treated with respect. If it falls the wrong way it can become a bomb or rocket and can easily kill someone.

I have multiple 20 lb co2 tanks so filling the soda stream cartridge back up is great. Make sure to lightly lube the o rings or they may roll out or get cut. Works awesome.
