The clips are easy enough to open with one hand unlike many of this type. The cable itself has a nice thickness and the fact that it comes with a spring helps the cable to resist even better when the dog pulls on it.Overall, very satisfied with this. Materials feels like quality and works very well.

Very long and flexible. Works great and as intended. Handy to have especially for dogs in the yard to run around for a couple hours. Strong enough to hold larger dogs too.

Very well made steel braided cable wrapped and protected by a strong rubber/silicon insulator. We got this for our Pom and tested it indoors before the snow melts. He is not full grown yes but did find movement a little challenging due to the weight. Come summer, when he is full grown, it may be easier for him, but we are concerned the weighting may be a little heavy. All said, excellent package with solid cable lead out, excellent carabineers, nice spring for shock’ protection, this was made with a dogs well being in mind. Fully recommended, but with measured caution for some of the smallest toy breeds. Note, this does Not come with a ground stake included, so you will have to purchase, which is ok at this price point.

I've used basic clotheslines as cables for my dogs in the past, but I had to throw the last one in the trash recently, it was all rusty. When I saw this one, I figured the little details might do a difference... Welp, I was god damn right! The hooks are way better than what I had in the past, and the spring is the best thing for your dog! I mean, a dog will learn not to run up to the limit of the cable, but the reason it learns is it felt the pain a couple of times. The spring will definitely help prevent injuries and pain.I like that you can choose between different lengths and colors, and I think the whole thing is very sturdy. Recommended!

This 50ft blue dog line has worked really well for us. It’s super strong — I’m not worried about it snapping even when my dog takes off full speed after a squirrel. The bright blue colour makes it really easy to spot in the yard, which is nice so I’m not constantly hunting for it in the grass. The locking carabiners are another thing I really appreciate. They feel secure and are easy to clip on and off, but I don’t have to worry about them randomly coming undone. There’s also a spring built into the line that helps cushion the jolt when my dog hits the end of the line, which is definitely gentler on him than a hard stop.Recommended for sure!

This tie out is perfect for my Great Pyrenees. He was purchased and raised to be a livestock guardian dog but he has a complicated relationship with the sheep. Most times, him and the big ram are buddies, butting each other, playing together. However, the dog can be a bit overwhelming to the smaller, younger sheep and he scares them. So him just trying to play, will run them all over the pasture if he has total freedom. With this, he can still hang with the sheep and they can get more used to him but can also escape him if they get scared. It's holding his big self great so far and this is a dog that snaps most tie outs with ease.

This heavy-duty dog tie-out cable is amazing! It’s incredibly sturdy and holds up well to even the most energetic dogs. The secure clips ensure your dog stays safe, and the durable material handles outdoor elements with ease. Perfect for giving your pup room to roam while staying secure—highly recommend for quality and peace of mind!SPECIAL NOTE: As an approved Amazon Vine member with Gold status, I am trusted to select items for review (sometimes from a list of almost 130,000 options). This cord is really, really long. It hasn't broken but I really don't see it lasting that long. Upon taking it out of the package somehow it got very tangled and took some time to get it rolled up properly. It would probably work best as a long overhead line with a shorter line from dog to cable. This would prevent it from getting tangled while giving the dog the full 150-foot run space. This however would require a full space clear of barricades or anything that could get them stuck. For now, I rolled up most of the extra and only use a portion, but it will be easy to take it with us when we head to the lake or camping.

Got this for our doodle when ours broke and it is perfect. Nice long length and the hook part is much sturdier than ones we have used in the past. It is holding up well!

We wanted a short cable tie so we can keep our buddy nearby when doing work in our front yard, and this 15 footer is exactly what we were looking for. Our little guy is about 30 lbs and this cable and the locking clips seem strong so there is no chance he is going to come anywhere near breaking it. The vinyl cover may be another story if he decides to chew on it, but luckily he doesn't seem interested in it. He is still pretty young and can tend to suddenly take off with excitement so I like that this cable also has the shock absorbing spring. It doesn't flex a ton, but just enough that there is less of a chance to hurt himself. Another thing I like about this is he doesn't really get himself tangled up in it, unlike he does when we tie him up with a regular leash.

I’m using this lead for my 7-year old, 75lb Samoyed. He can pull like a freight train engine when he wants to, but is long past the age where he tests a tie-out lead, so this cable is more than enough to keep him where I want him. I ordered the 100-foot cable, which came in a nylon pouch.Overall, this is a really nice tie out lead. The stranded steel cable is covered entirely in a durable vinyl cover. Each end of the lead features a locking carabiner and this proves to be a good feature but also a quirky one that may be problematic for some, as I’ll explain below. The cable initially has a bit of memory and tends to want to coil up, but that passed after a day or two of use and now the cable bends easily but also straightens out well and without kinks (so far after about a week of use). I didn't measure the cable thickness, but I'd say it falls in the middle of the diameters for dog tie out leads. I've had a few that are this diameter and I have one that is significantly thicker (and heavier to move). I'd say this cable is strong enough for all dogs up to 75 pounds and larger dogs if they are not sled dogs, if you know what I mean. The cable also features a heavy-gauge spring on the end of the lead that will be attached to the fixed point that cushions the take-up on the lead when pulled tight. This should help reduce the jarring stop that most cables cause to a dog that runs out to the end of the lead length. As I mentioned above, each end of the lead terminates in a locking carabiner about 2” long. On the end of the lead attached to the stake, this is a nice setup that provides a strong and secure method of attaching and removing the lead with ease. On the end of the lead that attaches to the dog’s collar, this arrangement may or may not work for you and your dog. The carabiner is a bit larger (though about the same weight as) than the typical spring latch connector common to dog leashes and tie out leads. If your dog is large and furry, like mine, he/she will likely not notice the carabiner at all. For smaller dogs, the larger size of the carabiner may be distracting, uncomfortable, or may not fit through small collar attachment loops; but I’m just guessing at that.Overall, though, this is a nice quality dog tie out cable and the carabiners are nice looking and effective, if the size isn’t an issue. At the time that I ordered this cable, the price was very good compared to competing products on Amazon. So I do recommend this tie out lead, just be aware of the slightly larger attachment device for the dog’s collar.
