About this item

  • PROTECT YOUR SURFBOARD: This surfboard travel bag is cut 24" wide and is designed to hold 2-3 surfboards as well as everything else you may need for your surf trip. The padded, collapsible side wall gusset around the bag measures about 4 inches deep at the nose and 7 inches deep at the tail. All bag sizes will fit a board up to 1-2 inches longer depending on nose width.
  • FALSE BOTTOM: Take 3 boards but only show 2 when your bag is checked. This board bag was constructed with both a rear entry and a nose entry system. So when the nose is opened you only see two surfboards and when the tail is opened you only see two boards even though there are 3 boards in the bag.
  • BUILT BETTER: Featuring 600 Denier Poly material on top and bottom of bag with 10mm Air-Lite foam protection makes this bag both light weight and durable. Molded #10 size PK non-corrosive zippers prevent them from salting up and ensure they run smooth for the life of the bag.
  • FEATURES: Large exterior wetsuit/accessory pocket. Top zip flip top at nose and tail for ease in sliding your boards in and out of bag. Includes padded should strap that can be stowed away and durable handles at the nose and center of bag. Mutltiple ventilation points allow airflow to keep boards cool while the external and internal storage compartments keep your gear organized.
  • DRIVEN BY THE JOURNEY: Pro-Lite has been leading innovation in surfboard travel and day use bags, leashes, traction pads and accessories since 1982. We offer a wide variety of premium surf boardbags for longboards, shortboards, fish/hybrids and mid-lengths for whatever adventure comes next.

Now a little about us...

Pro-Lite surfboard bags and accessories

…What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been

Pro-Lite was conceived in the minds of two traveling surfers, Bill Hapgood and Dave Neilson. At the time the pair was working for a major airline and traveling the world. Soon into their travels they realized one key missing ingredient necessary to continue their journey, the need to protect their surfboards.

In 1982 Pro-Lite was born. Bill and Dave searched out industrial sewers in Costa Mesa, CA and began making a limited line of surf travel bags. This put Pro-Lite on the map as the first bag manufacturer to make travel grade surfboard bags in the United States.

As the brands reputation as a quality travel bag manufacturer grew surfers from the United States and around the world looked to Pro-Lite to provide them with the gear to get their surfboards to their destination safely. Professional surfers from around the world used Pro-Lite travel bags as they bounced around the world on tour.

Throughout the 90's Pro-Lite expanded its product offering outside of travel to include a full line of bags for day use as well as leashes, traction pads and car racks. This put Pro-Lite in a position to be the go to brand for any products used to enhance your surfing experience.

The evolution of Pro-Lite continues today with new owners in place since 2005 and a renewed energy and vision to design and manufacture functional and durable surfing accessories. Our key focus is quality and innovation. Pro-Lite is first and foremost a travel company and will continue to make products that are designed for surf and travel.

Safe Travels…

I like the outside pocket, and inner pocket. The construction seems OK minus the drain on the front pocket, its seam is starting to come undone (one star off for that). Also this is more like a 2 board bag if your boards are near ~3 inches thick. The "hidden" compartment is only useful if your boards are real small. The bag worked fine on a trip to central America. Cant complain, boards made it one piece.

Protection is lacking compared to a typical coffin. More like a double/triple board day bag. I returned

Worked perfectly for my trip to Costa Rica. Held 3 boards: one 6’8” Lost Mayhem, one 6’6” FireWire Gama, and my buddies 5’8” as well. Plenty of padding and room for towels. Pockets for fins or leashes. The 1+1=3 feature was cool. But the airline didn’t even check. Get one. You won’t be disappointed!

Needs wheels, when you have to carry that case from one terminal to another it gets super heavy and starts to totally suck.
