I have an outdoor fridge located on a west wall and near a window (unfortunately can’t move it due to space limitations) and the fridge would struggle in the summer to stay cool and even struggle in the winter when it was cold. I placed this insulation on the outside of the fridge with a/c duct silver tape and it has worked like a charm. Any sunlight that hits the fridge, is reflected off and it just helps the fridge to be better insulated overall.

as of this review, I have not tried to use this for my intended purpose which is to put over RV windows to keep heat loss to a minimum. in colder weather. I have done some experimentation to see how well this works on other things and I think this is by far a better solution than the "reflectix" type material. this type I have is 10mm thick (foam interlayer) and when I've put this against some metal that is hot I'm impressed by how well this insulates. I have tried some methods of attaching this to the windows and that is another story on its own. but so far, I've been impressed by the quality of this stuff. it is offered in several thicknesses but I found the 10mm to be ideal.

Very good stuff. The heavier, I think 100cm, foam core made a big difference in how it installs. Makes keeping my desert shack cooler and darker a bit easier.

It's not magical, but it will provide a noticeable reduction in temperature. I get at least a 6 degree cooling effect compared to none. Before going into our garage you would get hit with a wall of heat, now it just feels warm on above 85 degree days. I bought 3M VHB Foam Tape 4611, 1/4" x 36 yards, Dark Gray, Double-Sided, Permanent, Long-Term Durability, High Temp Resistant to stick it to the garage, running a full line around all the panels and two lines around the left, right and center braces. the most important part was the prep, I used glass cleaner first then 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean all the areas where I put tape. I also wiped down the areas on the insulation where the tape would go with the alcohol. I got the 10mm thick version and I'm very happy with it. I cut it to width of the garage door and stuck the whole panel on. Then I used and long blade to cut the individual panels after it was stuck on the door so I got no gap in between panels. I also used a blade to cut around the door hardware. Although, I wished i had installed it vertically as 48" + 48" is 8', would have saved me time and provided better alignment. I guess the heat got to me.

I bought a couple rolls of this to insulate the roof of a small building i have and also used the leftovers to insulate my garage door. For the roof in my building, staples held it up, it was easy to cut and then just taped the seams. as for the garage door, i just cut pieces slightly bigger than the door panels and the pressure fit holds them in great. I can tell a major difference in my building and my garage.

This is a flexible reflective insulation that worked very well in my chicken coop last winter. The reflective coating helped them stay warm enough very little supplementary heat. The material is thin enough to shape and staple in place but still offers a bit of an air barrier between the foil layers.I removed it for the summer but it held up well and I will use it again this year.
