It works! We have a doggy door insert in our sliding glass door and it keeps our sliding patio door closed tightly, so that the outside air doesn’t seep through and vice versa with the summer time heat. And it gives us peace of mind now of safety. Let’s be honest, the patio door inserts don’t have the best locking mechanism to the actual door. It was a snug fit but it fits! I had to remove the additional bolt inside, so it can actually fit but it’s holding well!! I like that it comes with two rod extensions, don’t need it now but it I’m sure it’ll come in handy later whenever we remove the doggy door.

Our backyard has a pool and even with a door alert and lock, was always nervous about our sliding door with kids in the house. The locks are too simple and our kids know how to open the door. We install this above where they can reach and it has helped so much! I feel much more at ease. It’s a bit of an eye sore but it’s a great value just for safety. We had no problems sizing it to our door.

Just what I needed. A simple bar to ensure that my deck door can't be forced open. Easy to assemble, easy to fit, unobtrusive (I got white so it matches the framing), sturdy, and it does the job. For extra security, I may get a second one -- one for the door bottom and one for the door top. great product and super fast delivery.

This is a simple, yet sturdy security bar. It was simple to put together and install. I do not think an intruder would be able to remove it without some extreme strength and noise. It's not going to pop out at a slight touch.

My apt building had allowed some less than savory characters lately and I knew I needed some peace of mind and security when I heard them on the fire escape recently. 🙁While this isn’t described as a hung window security bar (to be used vertically between top and bottom windows)- it works perfect for what i needed. First it’s a solid bar and I like the visual in the window. My top window is 30 inches tall and this seems secure when pieced together. Second- it adjusts perfect to the widow size-some bars don’t have the screw bottom option so it wouldn’t work for my needs to fit between the top and bottom window ledge and is further secured by the bolt. The rubber bottom holds the bar in place vertically.Very satisfied for $20 to have a secure window and some peace of mind.
