Right out of the box, I was impressed with this slicer/shredder attachment. I like that it’s all stainless steel, although it is very lightweight. Attached easily and quickly to my KitchenAid Lift mixer. Tried out each attachment on a carrot; worked exactly as I expected, clean, even slices, nice shredding on both sizes. Impressed, for sure. Washed up quickly, dried and back in the box for storage.My only complaint is the price; you can get the genuine KitchenAid attachment set for less than the full price of this one. If it’s on sale, it wouldn’t be a bad buy, but why get an off brand when you can get the real deal for less?

I was so excited when this arrived that I decided to make homemade potato chips. The unit was easy to install on my kitchenaid mixer and I was able to quickly get started. The slicer worked like a champ. While some of the slices were somewhat uneven in thickness (pretty typical for potatoes), the slicer performed really well. Several days later, I decided to shred some carrots using the course shredder attachment. Again, it did not disappoint. The parts are dishwasher safe, making clean up a breeze.

I’m really impressed with this KitchenAid slicer/shredder attachment! It fits securely onto my mixer and operates smoothly without any issues. I’ve used it for slicing cucumbers, shredding cheese, and prepping vegetables, and it handles everything effortlessly. The different drum sizes provide great versatility, and cleanup was surprisingly easy. It’s a great time-saver in the kitchen, especially when you don’t have a food processor but do have a KitchenAid. Well worth the investment if you do a lot of meal prep. Highly recommend!

This grater attachment has made food prep so much easier! It fits perfectly on my KitchenAid mixer and saves me so much time. I’ve used it for shredding cheese, slicing veggies, and even grating carrots for baking. The stainless steel design feels really strong and durable—no flimsy plastic parts to worry about.I also love the large food pusher. It makes it easy to feed bigger pieces like whole potatoes or blocks of cheese without struggling. The attachment works fast and gives me even slices or shreds every time. Decent Non-OME unit for slicing and grating. Works well in my Kitchenaid mixer. What I like best is that it is all stainless steel and easy to use/clean. As far as value, this unit pricing seems a bit high as compared to other NonOME brands on the market, some having more blades. Anyone who works in the kitchen like I do, would probably appreciate the time savings from tedious manual processing, especially grating and slicing.

When I ordered this I had hopes of getting some nice quality slicing and shredding action out of my KitchenAid... it had potential, but that potential was not realized. All the parts are made of thin stainless steel sheet metal; the housing feels flimsy, the tamper and the blades are lightweight. Cutting edges on the slicer are coarsely ground and not very sharp. Tried slicing onion wedges, the slicer choked. Carrots grated okay on the coarse grating blade, but cucumbers were brutalized instead of sliced because the blades are so dull fresh out of the box. Finely grated cheese smeared, and layers of cheese slid through the gap between the grater blade and the housing.Photos in the product description are apparently fake -- there's no way this attachment could have sliced anything that cleanly.The pieces fit together the way they were supposed to, and the attachment didn't fail outright, so I will rate higher than 1 star. But if I actually had to pay the asking price for this mess ($73.99 at this writing), I would be returning it.So disappointing. My spouse was all excited when I ordered, too. Sad. Makes me wonder if the reviewers rating this thing 4 or 5 stars actually tried it out before they wrote their reviews.

It was okay.The accessories seemed shiny and well-built, but it also seemed like something that may get loose easily while operating, or something that would "jam" the produce in between the blade and the feeding area.

Love this! I have a Cuisinart 5.5qt and decided to see if they were cross compatible and they are! Apparently the machines are designed almost identically. The slicer does a wonderful job of getting uniform thin slices of anything you put in the tube! Be careful, these blades are sharp! If you decide to use the shredder, you will get nice shreds that will make easy work of making hash browns for a crowd. The cutting blades are cylindars and you will slide it inside the housing after attaching it to your machine using the pressure screw on the side of the attachment port. You will see inside that the cutting cylindar is held inside and put into service by a simple tabbed mechanism. Keep your machine on the lowest speed while using your attachments and the tabs will grab the slots and apply counter pressure ensuring you won't have it doing anything you don't expect. All attachments are very useful and time saving. Being that everything is made from stainless steel, it's a breeze to clean. I hope that everyone tries this out because it's made life in the kitchen much less stressful.
