I love this little attachment. I've already used it probably five times this winter and it is amazing every time. It handled ~5" of light powder snow no problem and it also handled ~1-2" of wetter slushy snow no problem every time. It gets very close to the pavement surface and gets it super clean. It's powerful to throw the snow 15-20 feet out. Have to be careful not to bog it down with snow that's too thick, that would require to do a pass on the top half and then a second pass on the bottom half. Or you can just make half-width passes and the snow from the one side will fall down to fill more across the whole thrower blade, that prevents it from bogging down. Even throws leaves and small bits of mulch or sticks, etc that might be in the snow. It's super well-balanace with the drive shaft in the middle of the head and sturdy construction. It is a little on the heavyier side but if you just scoot it along on the ground it's not so bad as picking it up alot to reposition, and definitely much better than lifting countless shovels worth and throwing them. This model only shoots out straight ahead, so in order to throw the snow more to the side you have to hold it at more of an angle, which works plenty fine. Storage is nice because it's much smaller than a wheeled snow blower and you can just hang against your wall with other yard equipment and not take up floorspace.I use this attachment on my dewalt trimmer powerhead and it is perfectly compatible. The 12" blade is large enough to handle 4-5" of snow (not super wet or packed) on a 20foot 2car wide driveway and about 40 feet of sidewalk on a single 12ah 60amp battery. Definitely would recommend to anyone who lives in an area with light to moderate snowfall, and resonably normal length driveways.

I'm using this with a DeWalt 60v trimmer (DCST972X1), and it absolutely rips. So far I've only used it on heavy, wet snow and slush, but it had no problem throwing that clear across a two car driveway. That said, a couple drawbacks:(1) There's not much control over the direction of the throw besides the angle you point the tool. So you have to get creative with your pattern so you're not throwing snow onto areas you've already cleared, or throwing at stuff you don't want plastered with snow and slush (think cars, windows, fences). I haven't done a sidewalk yet but it feels like it'd be a pain to use this to try to throw off to the side rather than just further down the walk. Some tight areas or areas where I needed precision, I just went back to the shovel. And (2), this attachment plus a power head is on the heavy side. So while it sure beats carrying around shovel-fulls of heavy snow, I wouldn't call it effortless. Just like a shovel or a pusher, the scraping edge on the bottom of the thrower will get caught on bumps and seams in the pavement, but the weight of the thrower makes it harder to lift or twist to get the scraping edge over whatever it's stuck on. You may want to adjust where the forward handle is or use a shoulder strap to account for the balance point being further forward than it would be with your string trimmer attachment.

This works like a champ. I live in NEPA. We get heavy wet to light fluffy snow. This has worked great in both. In the heavy wet snow set your expectations accordingly but it has surprised me. I wish you could direct the snow but that is not the case so I just angle it while using to direct the snow to each side.

I didn't expect a whole lot out of this snow shovel attachment but thought I'd give it a try. I attached it to a Ryobi expand-it 40v electric trimmer head and all I can say is WOW. It is quite impressive as to the distance it was throwing and clearing the snow. It is a little heavy with my set up and wheels might help, but personally I'm very pleased with it. The only other improvement I could see would be if they re-designed it so that it could be attached at an angle for clearing the snow off to the side. (It only shoots it straight ahead but it does throw it an impressive distance, so it worked out fine for me) For the price-point I think it's an exceptional tool.I would definitely recommend this product as long as the power head you have to power it is decent.

I'm pleased with this little snow thrower. If you have 6" or less of snow and a relatively small area to clean, then this guy works very well. I used it attached to my Dewalt tool. The universal fit make it interchangeable on different brands.
