Perfect for bedroom! These Simplbrand blacks out work wonders!Simplebrand 100% Blackout Greyish White Curtain Liner for any room.I ordered these black out curtains for one of our rental properties. A guest who needed to sleep during the day, ended up putting towels up over the window sheers so she could daytime sleep. Well, that won't do. So I found these on Amazon. My sheer curtains match the decor of the room and the bedroom has lots of natural light. I put these up window side under the sheers so that the light is blocked out, but I still have my pretty sheers facing into the room.Easy fix, they look nice. Very soft grey/white color with a heavy linen type texture. The rings that come with are extremely sturdy, heavy duty. The curtains are tab top style. My curtains are grommet style, I just looped the black out curtain rigngs right on the same rod behind the sheers. It worked and when the curtains are pulled shut, black out.I'd like to mention that the Amazon photos of the rings look really cheap and light weight. They are not. Extremely nice.

These SimpleBrand blackout curtain liners are EXACTLY as the listing describes. The measurements are the same as those we ordered. Unlike some white on front black in back blackout curtains, these are an almost white but very mildly gray /all over/. The blackout feature is a product of the thickness of the fabric and its very dense weave. What a bargain for the asking price, as these not only cut out light, which is great for those on the night shift, or early to bed toddlers, but will also keep your heated or air conditioned space closer to the temp you desire, without having your hvac fight against the ever increasingly tenacious outdoor climate.By using these between your curtains and the glass of your window ( or even at an open door ) they become a “ thermal break “ or a form of soft furnishing / insulation! This means when it’s ccccold outside, or hot for that matter, it will be more temperate inside of your space if the curtains are drawn and are hung as close to the frame as possible, this will create a pocket of air between the curtain and the glass, that’s closer to the outside temperature. As a result, on the other side of the curtain, out in your room, the temp will be easier to keep closer to your desired thermostatic target. Will these save you money on your energy bill? I would say yes, I vote for Yes to that. Energy savings are worth your every effort to achieve. Imagine if we all did this, it would mean less of a load on power plants, less pollution even possibly. I love these liners and will be getting MORE! I’m also telling my friends and family about them.Another great feature of blackout curtain liners is that they will protect your curtains from light, which can fade and will eventually dry out your actual curtains, reducing their working lifespan considerably. So these offer three serious bangs for your buck. They have wide tabs up top, but also come with a set of hinged hoops to help hanging if you need. Very thoughtful of the manufacturer. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED. AAA+

I ordered these blackout curtain liners to fix a defect in one of my existing curtains. As you can see in the photos labeled C1 and C2, one of my curtains had a streak of light across it. I initially decided to keep the defective curtains because I got them on sale, and returning them meant I’d have to pay the full price for a replacement. Adding blackout liners seemed like the perfect solution, and I’m so glad I found these!Material & DurabilityThe material is listed as fabric in the ad, but it feels somewhat plastic-like. It’s not fully plastic, but it does resemble it in some ways. I’m unsure if I love the texture, but it’s functional and effective. After receiving the liners, I hung them to check the measurements, and they fit perfectly in length. I then sent them through the wash on the delicate cycle with an extra rinse and spin. While the plastic-like material retained some water, I dried them with no heat first, followed by 15 minutes on low heat. They came out great—no shrinking, no changes in texture, and no issues with the stitching.PerformanceAs shown in photo C3, the streak of light is now completely gone, and the room feels much darker and warmer. These liners made a huge difference, and I love how polished my curtains look with the liners behind them. They hide the defect and give my curtains a much more finished appearance. The ad also claimed there would be no chemical smell, and I can confirm this. I didn’t notice any unpleasant or concerning odors when I unpacked or washed them.Fit & AdjustmentsThe length of the liners is perfect, but the width was slightly too wide for these curtains. I simply folded the edges inward and hung them that way, which worked fine. I don’t mind the extra width because it allows me to use the liners with other, wider windows in my home. The rings provided hide nicely behind the grommets, but they aren’t my favorite. While hanging the liners, the rings hurt my hands, making the process uncomfortable. In photo C4, you can see that the liner stops at the grommet and doesn’t reach the width of the curtain. To solve this, I hung one side of the blackout liner further out than the blue curtain, as shown in photo C5. This overlap ensures no light leaks through when the curtains are closed.Additional ContextIn photo C6, you’ll see a window screen I made using Coolaroo shade fabric in Terracotta, paired with desert sand-colored paracord. I created these screens to reduce UV light, dim the sunlight, and add privacy, as I struggle with light sensitivity. In photo C7, you can see how adding this screen further reduced the light from above the curtains, making the room even more comfortable for me.Final ThoughtsThis Simplebrand blackout liner exceeded my expectations. The quality, effectiveness, and price are truly unmatched. It fixed my curtain issue, added warmth and darkness to my room, and gave my curtains a polished, upgraded look. For anyone considering blackout liners, I highly recommend these!
