Works perfectly & a lifesaver to use with my hair straightener that does not have an auto shutoff! No more double checking if I turned it off.

Very nice unit, use it every day to charge my Apple watch back to 80%, I find that each press adds about 30% to the watch battery. My phone will shut down charging automatically at 80% but the Apple Watch has no such capability as of February 2025.

Bought for my mom. She's always terrified that she left either the hair curler or the coffee pot on. She's had to literally turn around and drive home to check. No longer!Push the button, use the curler, and have confidence that it will shut off by itself. Same for the coffee pot. This is one of those things that some people desperately need, but have never heard of. I don't personally need these, but it literally changed my mom's life.

I got this for my wife after she accidentally left the hair straightener on after a couple hours and left a mark on our bathroom counter tops. We've been married for a long time and this is the first time it's happened but she's worried about it before when we've left the house. I did some research and came across this plug and got it and it works great. It fits the plug well and shuts off automatically and doesn't block the rest of the outlet with some smart placement. 100% worth it for the peace of mind, no regrets.

Just what I wanted for a exhaust fan. No menus or set-up, only a simple pushbutton and an indicator light. If the output is off, push the button to turn it on. The red light illuminates and the 30 minute timer starts. If you want to shut if off early, just push the button again. It's that simple.

I bought one of these several years ago to use on a nearly daily basis for a floor fan that airs out the shower stall. It worked great until last week. When I pressed the button, it made a rapid clicking noise and would not turn on.Disclaimer: Unless you REALLY know what you're doing (and assume all risks), ignore the rest of this review.Being a retired engineer, I played a hunch and guessed that an electrolytic cap had failed. I opened the unit up and replaced the 47uf 50V timing cap. The old one was open. Now it's working again.Others have noted the warm case and constant power drain. This is due to transformerless low voltage power supply circuit that feeds the nominal 5V to the 555(?) based trigger circuit. There is a 1W power resistor/zener diode regulator that has to drop the rectified 120V down to 5V. Maybe in the future a newer model will have some passive vent slots so that the caps are not getting baked in the case.

I have a nutrient mixing tank for an indoor garden that has a pump at the bottom to keep the nutrients in suspension while I am watering my plants. I was plugging the pump in each time I was feeding my plants and, as I often do at my age, forgetting to turn it off. So I had this idea of what I needed - a device with one outlet for the pump, an on button and a timer that would shut it off if I forgot. So I started searching on Amazon not even sure how to word the search but stated to find trimmers for shutting off irons and curling irons - which makes a heck of a lot of sense. Most of them have settings for 1 hour minimum and going up. This was the only one I found that had a 30 minutes setting and only the one setting. It works out great. I can press the button to run the pump and if I forget to shut it off when I am done, it shuts off 30 minutes later. How cool is that. Only one push is required since it only has the one setting. Plus, if I do remember to shut it off, I can just press the button again and it shuts off. Not sure that was mentioned in the description so it's a good thing to know.Oddly enough, now that I have the timer to keep me from leaving the pump on, I have never forgotten to turn it off - not once since I've had it. I am sure there is some psychological explanation for this weird behavior....doesn't matter, cause the timer's got my back.Anyway, nice little timer that is simple in design and does exactly what it is supposed to do requiring the least amount of effort.
