I keep a grill box outside near my grill with all of my tools and essentials, and I've always kept a roll of aluminum foil there for covering the side trays so I don't have to scrub them clean every time before I grill to get the random dirt and crud off; also so that I don't have to clean them when I'm done from putting utensils that touched raw meat onto them. That works decently, but sometimes the foil would rip or tear and I would have to re-apply in the middle of grilling which was inconvenient. This silicon mat solves that problem!It's easy to clean by hand in the sink; I wouldn't try cleaning this in a dishwasher as they suggest because it won't stand up on its side like a rigid cutting board and it would be a huge waste of space in your dishwasher to lay it out flat as shown in the pictures.After cleaning I store it in place on the grill (I use a cover on my grill to keep dust/dirt/stuff from settling on it) which means it's ready to go next time I light up!

This is great for putting greasy barbecue tools during your cooks. Easy to clean up.

Like the size of this mat. but, it is very thin and don't think it will last long. The side walls are heavy and hold up. Easy to clean and lays flat.

I was tired of wiping down the grill from the grease used with grilling. after I'm done, I just wash it, dry it and put it right back. looks great, love the color, and very functional.
