Se c’è una cosa fastidiosa delle grigliate, è dover pulire dopo. Ho provato questo tappetino perché volevo qualcosa che proteggesse la superficie sotto il barbecue e rendesse tutto più semplice. Il materiale è buono e sembra davvero resistente: ho fatto una prova diretta con la fiamma di un accendino e non ha avuto nessun problema.La cosa comoda è che non assorbe nulla di materiali oleosi che spesso cadono dal barbecue, quindi basta passarlo con un panno umido per pulirlo. Inoltre, non si deforma, cosa che spesso succede con tappetini più economici. Per ora mi sembra una soluzione pratica per evitare di rovinare pavimenti o terrazze quando si cucina all’aperto.

This is a very nice mat. It's very sturdy and is cushioned enough to let the legs of the grill sink it so it doesn't move around. The mat is easy to clean up if something spills in it. It is a simple but useful tool to have so your concrete floor doesn't have any grease stains on it.

I had a massive platform built for my smoker to protect the deck, but this is much easier to manage. Not going to test it, but I'm sure it won't catch fire if a burning pellet lands on it. It won't block heat a lot, so if your concerned about having an oil spill with fire on it on a plastic deck, you still might have issues.

Truth be told, i did not order this for a grill or fire pit. I needed something durable and heat resistant to cover a 6 foot plastic folding table for projects. It needs to be heat resistant to a butane torch to clean up 3D prints, hot glue drips and other such hobby hazzards.What i did not expect was such an exceptional product. The surface is a VERY grippy rubber type material that provides a superior non slip surface that was completely unaffected by direct contact with the flame. No i didn't test how long it would take to melt but it was unscathed by my assault with the torch LOL.This is lightweight so if you are looking for a heavy mat, this is not it but it is EXACTLY what i was looking for! I just can't say how impressed in am... Highly recommended!!!!

I have a paver patio and I've been told to get one of these because the grease that drips and spatters from your grill will stain your pavers. You'll move your grill and there will be a big black stain where it sat. No thanks! I ordered one of these for our new grill and I'm set. I imagine it would be useful on a wooden deck where you would want the fireproof nature of the pad as well. I am just keeping my patio looking good. I guess those grease stains don't come out easily with a pressure washer either, so a pad is the way to go.

Leave it to me to order the wrong size mat!Had to post the pictures of it under the black stone because…. i laughed, you should too!Other than my ordering error, it’s a great mat! Nice and lightweight, very easy to clean! Took a lighter to it and it didn’t leave any burn holes or marks! Glad its claim of fireproof is valid!Because of my error this mat is now under our medium smoker and it fits perfectly!Definitely recommend!

Really disappointed in this, not at all what I expected. It is really not a "mat", it is extremely lightweight...no heavier than a piece of tarp or outdoor table cloth.I currently have a mat...about 1/2 inch thick...but it is not resistant to food grease and is breaking down.In defense of this product, in the description it does say it is .02" thick...but I did not read that part. I looked at the pictures, and IMO the edges look air brushed so the mat appears to be thicker.I don't plan on using it, even though it may well prevent grease stains on the deck...it just looks too "cheap". Since I don't plan on using it, I did test it to see if it really was fireproof. I just used a regular lighter, held the flame against the mat, with a deckboard under the mat. The mat did not burn through, did not catch fire...but there was a significant burn mark in the deck board.If you don' t care about aesthetics, you may be fine with this mat. It should prevent grease stains on your deck.

I do a lot of grilling on my front deck and wanted to protect it from drips or splatters staining it.What I like about this mat is that it is very easy to wipe clean and does a good job of keeping any mess off the wood. What I was surprised about was how thin and lightweight it is. On a windy day, it flips up around the edges. I must admit I was expecting something a bit more heavier. Time will tell how well it stands up to the elements.So far it is working fine, just make sure you measure to get a size that gives you enough coverage at the front and back of the barbecue to catch any unexpected spills.

This mat is thinner than I'd expected, so if it's a little windy outside, the corners tend to fold up unless I am using some rocks or bricks to weigh it down. Just by looking at it, I can't tell if there is a fiberglass middle layer or not but the Fireproof Silicone coats on both sides seem to be enough for my grill. Dropping hot oil or grease on these does not seem to affect the mat too much. I am not talking about pouring hot burning oil on the mat, just the normal cooking amount being splattered over only :). It's great for a temporary setup on the grass for a Sunday afternoon BBQ every now and then, easy to wash and clean, as well as fold for stowaway. I am thinking of taking this mat with me on the next camping trip as well, quite a bit of other uses for it I am sure.
