Fresh rebuild on my engine for my boat. Worked fine the first outing. And slowly each and every other time I’ve noticed the “pressure dying off” sensor is garbage and then showed zero pressure. Bought a genuine good used one. And pressure reads accurate now.. waste of money. And too late to return it.. DONT BUY!

I used it to replace a faulty one on my old car with a SBC. Worked as it should.

I bought this a few months ago and installed it today (in April) and it works great. And at the price, I was pleasantly surprised it worked.

This was used as a replacement for a hydraulic oil pressure gauge that someone used in a motorhome my wife recently purchased. Since I don't like the idea of a high pressure hot oil line feeding a gauge right to within a foot of my crotch, waiting for disaster to strike while piloting a 15,000lb brick, we decided to remove that gauge and return to an OEM style gauge with electrical signal instead. This works like a charm.

Please make sure to check the resistance of the unit you are replacing. It is important to match the specifications of the parts before you purchase .I bought one from car part's store and the resistance was off, just lost time trying to figure it out.The gauge did not show the proper oil pressure. So, check the manuals.

No good didn’t work . Product is defective !!! Buyer beware!!!! Had to go to local dealer to buy OEM cost me a fortune in the end. Lesson learnt. Bought it 2 months ago and just installed it because my boat was in storage. Too late to return.

These senders are really Sierra I think. They are well built and dependable. Make sure the range is right for your gauge. Also it's important NOT to use any type of sealer on the threads. That's why the threaded part is brass. All senders like this work on a increasing connection to ground. The higher the pressure the more the sender grounds the sensor wire. If the base of the sender isn't grounded solidly to the motor it may give false low readings or be erratic. Esp. do not use teflon tape. The brass is soft and will create it's own seal. Also if you have dual steering stations you'll need a sensor that can hook to 2 gauges. To test your gauge just ground the sensor wire for a moment. It should peg the gauge to the high side.
