Easy to change. I used a 27mm deep socket from Harbour Freight (4.99). Seems to be of good quality. It took less than 5 minutes to change. So far so good. I would recommend this part.

The shop wanted $400 to pop the bad sensor out and put a new one in on my 2008 Enclave. I bought this part and had it done in 15 minutes. Has worked perfectly.

Auto: 2008 GMC Acadia (but this is the same product and procedure for lots of GMC models)Tools I used or similar Required:1) 3 Jaw Oil Filter Wrench - https://amzn.to/2YCo4RL2) Long Reach Flex Head Ratchet/Wrench - I used one from Harbor Freight but I like this also - https://amzn.to/3ngwsQO3) Lisle 13250 Oil Pressure Switch Socket and this is a must - https://amzn.to/3kUHSqO4) 3" Socket adapter - I used a different one from my tool set but something like this - https://amzn.to/3toEkkn5) Some, Latex or Nitrile Gloves - because your hands will get messy when you take the oil filter out - https://amzn.to/3yNblaX6) Castrol 03057 GTX MAGNATEC 5W-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil - https://amzn.to/3ts1oPh7) ACDelco GM Original Equipment D1843A Engine Oil Pressure Switch - most important - this product8) Oil filter - https://amzn.to/3h8hbxOYou are reading this because you have been cheated by the dealers and auto mechanics in the past many times over and now you don't trust them anymore or you want to do this job yourself because you want to do it right and have the satisfaction of Yes, "I can do anything" and most of all save money.Process:1) Put some gloves on, I preferred my nitrile gloves.2) Remove Oil Filter, make sure you put a pan underneath to catch the oil flowing out of the oil filter. I didn't get much.3) Remove the sensor switch adapter from top of the old oil pressure switch. It has a grove, once you pull it out and up, it will come off easily.4) Use the Oil pressure switch Socket with the 3" socket adapter and the long reach ratchet to loosen and remove the Oil Pressue switch.5) Clean up the old area with a rag and put the new Oil Pressure switch back, tighten it mut not much. I didn't go by the specs.6) You can use the same oil filter back if it was pretty unused or put a new one in. I had just changed my oil 500 miles ago so used the same one back7) Check your engine oil level with the dip stick, if needed put new oil in up to the desired level.8) Close everything, take a short drive in the neighborhood to make sure everything is fine, that way you are not stuck on the freeway. And you are Done.I hope this fixes my problem of "Engine Too hot, pull over" messages. Will update this after few miles.30 min of your precious time and unlimited satisfaction. Priceless.

The oil pressure gauge was bouncing and showing zero sometimes over the past year. I knew it wasn't an oil pressure issue as it had oil and the engine wasn't knocking. It was the oil pressure switch or "sending unit" as I like to call it. On my 2004 GMC Envoy it was a 15 minute fix. Drop the plastic skid plate. Reach up next to the oil filter at the top passenger side and you will see the plug that connects to the switch. Unplug it. If it's like mine it will be full of oil so you should clean out the plug. I used some plastic safe electrical contact cleaner I had for throttle body cleaning. Spray it down a few times and get all the oil out and let that drain. Make your life easy and get this socket for removing the old pressure switch https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-13250-Pressure-Switch-Socket/dp/B0002SR2RY/ref=pd_bxgy_263_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=67K222NDQTA41XW5N7FR I used a stubby socket wrench and it came out pretty easy. Thread in your new switch and tighten carefully ( you don't need 100 ft lbs of force) and get it snug. Use common sense here and don't be the idiot that tightens it with full leverage on a foot long rachet and complains that it broke off. Plug the connector back in. Re attach your skid plate. Enjoy your oil pressure gauge not dropping to zero and proceed to ignore the gauge because it is meaningless.
