This item came with no instructions whatsoever. It would have been nice to know the torque specs for the tightening of the unit because I broke the original 8.8 bolt for attaching to my vehicle. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase a couple of stronger bolts to use. After figuring out the system, it did work for my 2021 RAM for installing my running boards. So it works but be careful on tightening the bolt which secures the Rivnut to the vehicle. As I stated above, they work fine but use caution when tightening because if the bolt breaks off and the Rivnut is installed, it's a time consuming issue to remove the broken bolt from the Rivnut.

They install pretty easy. Trick is not to over torque the nuts. One round with impact then torque to specs with a wrench.

This kit is of very poor quality, all the nuts stripped out and quite a few bolts broke. Tried various methods for installing the crush nuts even using stainless bolts which are stronger and eventually gave up. Disappointed as I’m sure an actual Mopar brand product would have worked fine. Would not recommend.

I had never used a rivet nut before the instructions were great and fit my truck perfectlyI was installing side steps and the installation required inserting these rivet nuts. I had never heard of these and had no idea how to install them. instructions were excellent, also found a YouTube video on it, and these fit my vehicle perfectly.

I ordered a factory sidestep which came with the hardware. I was advised I did not need the tool to do the installation. I ended up buggering up about half the rivnuts. I order more of the same size M8 on Amazon however the OD was too small. The dealer wanted about 5.00 each. I found these through continued search and this fit the bill perfectly. I only used a few of the rivnuts and have extra hardware but overall a good deal.

Will not crunch up to tighten on the sheet metal. Wallowed out two hex holes into circles on a brand new truck. Purchasing quality rivnuts as to not cause more damage
