I love this product! I primarily use it to keep an eye on my corgi, and while the image refresh rate can be slightly delayed, it’s still very clear and accurately shows where the dog is warm. Overall, the performance is excellent.Beyond pet monitoring, this camera is quite versatile. It can detect hot spots in your home, helping with tasks like identifying heat leaks or gaps in insulation. When I tested it on my car engine in the garage, I could clearly see which parts were heating up.The camera has a sturdy metal case, yet it’s lightweight and smaller than my cell phone. Viewing and saving images is easy, and you can also use the included USB cable to connect it to a computer for exporting photos. While I haven’t timed the battery life precisely, it seems to last around 3-4 hours, which is plenty for my needs.Compared to my other FLIR camera, the resolution isn’t as high, but it still performs well—and at a fraction of the price, it’s great value for money. I’ll update my review if anything unexpected comes up, but so far, it’s been a fantastic product.

This is an excellent thermal imaging camera for home use. It may even be used for professional jobs if needed. The casing is made of heavy metal. So it feels sturdy and durable. The camera comes with a nice lanyard that can be attached to the bottom of the camera. It’s an excellent addition because the camera is somewhat heavy for such a tiny device, and the lanyard gives comfort while carrying it. I recommend obtaining a soft or hard case, however. The camera’s box is too big to store, and you would want to protect the sensor and screen while storing your camera.Thermal imaging works perfectly. You’ll see our dog in the first image. The second image shows the heat signature she left after she moved away from that spot. Although you cannot zoom in and out, the view is live and scans as you move the camera around. It also reads the temperature at your selected target and displays it on the screen. The menu is straightforward, and it offers plenty of options. It’s straightforward to take screenshots and save them. Thermal imaging works up to 840 F, which is plenty for most jobs.
