Had been looking for a shoe rack/hallway cabinet for awhile, and I came across this product. Shipping was fast, and the installation instruction was easy to follow. My husband was able to put it together in less than an hour. The white oak color is really elegant and it fits our hallway perfectly.

We were using a cheap shoe rack for awhile. It is nice to keep your shoes by the door, but more neatly than just all over the floor, as I see in a lot of other homes. Eventually that rack started to break, and we were looking for another one. We ended up getting this one. It fits with the style of the room, actually making everything look nicer. You do not even realize this is a shoe rack, at least until you open it. The quality is very good. It is pressed wood, but that is fairly common now, but this should hold up well. There is minimal plastic in this, but when it is fully put together, it seems very solid, even the plastic.The worst part was putting this together. There was a lot of screws involved, but everything was laid out nicely, and the instructions were clear. It still took I think 1.5 or 2 hours at a relaxed pace to get everything together.Each door can have two layers, and we fit 3 pairs of shoes wide. This holds 6 pairs of shoes per door, and 4 doors, so 24 pairs of shoes for us.The main drawback is some shoes don’t fit. Mainly boots, but they didn’t in the other shoe rack also. The other is a safety toe shoe, it is close but they are bulkier and don’t fit in. They do fit under the shoe rack, so that has been the solution for those. There is a divider, so I could remove that if I didn’t want to fit as many shoes. The top has sides all around, except the front, so you can have items up there. It also included two hooks, which are very well made, and strong. We left them off, we didn’t need them, but they would be great for an umbrella, or something else that you can hang.We also didn’t attach this to wall, but the instructions do show you how to. We aren’t in an area that I am worried about it tipping, and it is very stable even without attaching it to the wall.

This item looks so cute! But it is not actual wood and it is cheaply made. As I was tightening the screws the board cracked and started to fall apart. I got halfway thru assembly then decided it wasn't worth what I paid for and sent it back. Also notice the "white oak" is not just plain white color it has "oak texture" so it looks like it's been scratch instead of actual wood texture.

Went together very easily. The outside material is nice/sturdy. The brackets are made of plastic but seem okay. I painted the handles to match the unit because it seemed better in my space. It went together very easily in about one hour (there was only 1 photo that showed holes in the wrong place but it was pretty obvious how to correct that error once you got going). I recommend this piece. It is shallow/narrow which also fit nicely in my space.
