The line/string passes through felt blocks for a more even distribution of chalk. The line/string is wound via a folding hand crank. Chalk can be added by opening the hinged door. Comes with 2 different attachments: 1) a metal hook for fitting over a nail or hanging over an edge or 2) a metal pin. Line/string can be easily replaced by opening up case. Line/string is 15 meters or 50 feet in length.

I use this chalk line to set level lines on walls to set cabinets. What I like best about it is the pin to set it in the drywall and the thin lines it makes. Very easy to use by yourself

This is a great little chalk box! Better for the money and lighter than the name brands from Home Depot.

Perfect chalk line for my trade. Awesome for snapping lines for drywall. The pin makes it super easy to do by yourself. Excellent quality line. Just standard retract speed.

The quality is built of plastic and I got to say that I was impressed with the ease of use and the fact that I can snap lines in layouts without needing additional help.

Love these things. They snap a nice tight line and hold a good amount of chaulk. Love the fill door, it's so much nicer than the end plug in standard lines and the pin makes it super easy to snap lines by myself when no one is magically around to lend a hand. I got 2 of them. I use a color chaulk that I don't let the other guys use so I can correct their stupid mistakes and not have any confusion as to which lines I want them to work with. So far I've had these lines for about a half year now and they're excellent. The ONLY thing I don't care for is the color of the plastic but whatevs, it's the performance I'm interested in

Super fine line, still trying to find the right amount of chalk to put in without overloading it. The pin attachment is a nice touch for solo jobs, but the line itself is pretty stretchy...so be prepared to take up some slack before the pop so that your mark doesn’t drift around all over the place. If pulled real tight and snapped around 1” above the surface, this is one of the best chalk lines I’ve ever used.

Best chalkline for finish carpenters! It has the "built in apprentice" (the pin at the end) that allows me to keep them busy and not need them to help snap the layout lines on walls. If you are looking for a chalkline for the floor, I'd get a bigger string as they are a little thin for rough concrete, but for finish walls and wood I don't use anything else! The line is thin and gives a thin mark in which to cut to, about 1/16 depending on how hard you snap it.I will continue to recommend these to my guys on the job site!
