I had to return this item because it was too hard to hold at my angle for the work it was doing. Otherwise a super heavy duty unit at a great price.

Needed to replace about 50 feet of corroded cast iron septic line under a concrete slab. The slab varies in thickness from 3-1/2 to 5 inches and has the smaller wire rebar grid. I decided to purchased this drill on June 1. Amazon next day delivery was very much apprexciated.This unit has paid for itself several times over versus a rental. Best I can tell I have between 30-40 hours of run time. I used a 7 inch diamond blade in a skill saw to cut along the side of the channel that I removed. Since the blade only cut about 3 inches deep, I used the hammer drill to go along the edge and finish breaking through the concrete. The drill is holding up well, I've had to sharpen the chisel and pick bits several times. The unit comes with two demolition bits (chisel, point) and three masonry drill bits. I have not used the masonry drill bits, only the demolition bitsPro: Inexpensive Sturdy Performs well Easy to operate and positionCon: Not variable speed Bits are not hardened steel Demolition bits are only 10"This is not heavy-duty demo equipment but considering the price and how well it's held up, I would recommend this drill for most DIY'ers doing small or medium size projects. Saw several options and this one was the best âdealâ by far. Cheap! When I received it, this thing is heavy, well built, and looks nice too. Used it over the weekend with a one inch chisel bit and tore up a tile floor in a few hours. 24âx14â. Very powerful and easy to use.

Good power for breaking up small areas of concrete. Good value for the money. Easy to use. Used it to break up a concrete collar around an old basketball pole. Worked perfect for that.

I ordered this drill to break up some concrete and rocks. I used the 5" long 1/2" masonry drill bit first and to my big disappointment, the bit was bad after 1 and a half holes! I drilled the first hole and it seemed to work fine, but halfway through the second hole, I was making no progress after about an inch in. The picture shows what the bit looked like and why it did not drill anymore.Luckily, I had a neighbor with a Milwaukee 1/2" masonry bit that was 10" long and that bit was already used many times. I put it in this drill and it drilled right through concrete and rock easily. I drilled 15 or more holes and it was still just as sharp. Although he lent me his Bosch hammer drill too, I used his bit in this drill to see if it could perform or if I should just return it.Other issues that I had with this drill kit, was the dust that comes from drilling would get into the rotary selector knob. You have to push the knob end then turn it for non rotary action. Well I had a lot of difficulty rotating that knob after drilling half a dozen holes and wanting to change to the chisel bit. It was very annoying and time consuming. Also, the tube of lubricating grease that comes with it is about 4" x 1-1/2 inches but was only about 1/3rd full! You have to check the grease level (the instructions say look at the window, but there is no window), each time you use it. The grease seems to migrate through the drill and into the chuck making the bits black with grease. I recommend keeping a cleaning cloth to wipe the bit end after each use.The drill looks great, fairly heavy, has a long cord and comes with a variety of bits but I wouldn't count on any of the masonry bits to do the job The flat chisel and the pointed chisel seem to be ok.Overall, I'm very mixed about this drill since the bits were so cheaply made, I worry if the drill will last. I bought my own Milwaukee masonry bit and it worked like a charm. I hope the drill can keep up as I decided to keep it based on it's performance with the Milwaukee bits.

This thing saved my back. And hands. I had some flagstone pieces on my front walk that were coming up. They were laid in a bed of concrete over an old concrete walk, so i just needed to break up that 1-1.5 inch bed so i could put a new bed down and re-lay the flagstone.Tried beaking up that concrete with a chisel and 3lb mallet. HA! That was funny. After 3 hrs and barely any progress i started researching other options. Were there lightweight jack hammers out there? Sure enough! Went with this one because it had good sounding (13A) power, was not pricey (probably will only use it a couple times so dont need to spend multiple hundreds of $), and could get here in 2 days so i could do the job by the weekend.I was not disappointed. In less than hour i cut through 20 sq ft of 1 inch thick concrete fairly easily. It seems durable, but even if it only lasts a few jobs, it more than paid for itself in saved back pain. And time.
