While it is true that I haven't tried an Addi knitting machine, I opted for the lower price point Sentro to see how I would like the knitting machine option in general. I LOVE it. The row counter hasn't broken, the needles are smooth, nothing is hanging up. I did use a sharpie to mark the last needle slide in the row, that is helpful. After a few projects I used some sewing maching lube to allow the needles to glide more effectively. That worked a treat. I imagine after a bit, the lint from the yarn can gunk up the seat for the needles, but the lubrication did the trick. I recommend this machine for anyone who is looking to try knitting in the round. I haven't figured out the flat panel option yet, but I am sure I'll get there.

This is my second knitting machine. I initially purchased the original 48 hook machine but it came broken and was unusable after my first project. I have not had this issue at all with this machine. I turns smoothly I haven’t had any issues with skipping stitches. It’s very quiet and I have done multiple large projects with it and have not had a single issue. My only complaint is that the machine does jump around a bit if your yarn is thick or your tension is tight and the suction cups don’t really do much to help. Overall if you want to very quickly make some simple projects like hats, headbands and scarves this is 100% worth it.

You definitely need a specific yarn for this. I used a few different brands that were all 4 medium yarn. One kept splitting over and over as well as dropping stitches. The other two worked great! Overall a good time saver.

Machine/knitter, works great, if you use the right yarn you can have an adult beanie in just about 30 minutes. Only problem is, this is habit forming, 3 weeks and I've already gone thru over 29 skeins of yarn. But I would definitely do it again.

Have not yet used. Just assembled.Pros:A. Very well packaged.B. All parts present.C. Instruction pamphlet present.Cons:D. Instruction pamphlet is inadequate.E. Suction cups should be affixed to legs BEFORE legs are attached to body or increased potential to break leg/body connection. The metal screws are tiny and the potential to strip created plastic threads is significant.E.1. Insertion of suction cup stem into leg slot is very difficult and requires strong focused finger strength.E.1.a. Accomplished insertion by first using toothpick and multiple pinpoint applications of Carmex to stem of suction cup and still required strong focused finger strength. Carmex does not run/drip and does not contain other type lubricant products that can attack the plastics involved.E.2. Screw driver shaft is too short to allow for verticle use in screw head but with patience and care can secure leg to body.E.2.a. Would strongly suggest the screw driver shaft to be 6" to allow for best insertion of screw for leg-to- body connection with the angle required with the suction cup previously installed.

I actually am vey unhappy with this knitter! I will never recommend this to anyone! I regret buying it! If you know it doesn’t work with certain yarns or is so unfriendly then fix the damn thing! Very, very poor product!

This is my first machine like this ...it was so easy to assemble (legs, suction cups)It is so easy to use ,and the hat that I made is so pretty the weave is wonderful looks like a hat you would buy at the store .. the counter functions well ,the machine looks and feels well made ,easy to set up and use...it seems to be a good value for my money... except the plastic tapestry needles...lol pretty flimsy, the included yarn is very soft...
