It is made with top quality pigments, an extremely pure synthetic binding medium and mineral wax. The pigments are ground with an inert, non-siccative binding medium that does not oxidize, ensuring stability of film and surface. The balance of this mix results in a creamy texture that invites broad strokes and freedom of expression.

These are artist quality and, as a result, very soft and gooey. They are not like other oil pastels. I get the white and a few other colors but I think they are too soft to do an entire work in.

Sennelier delivering the same consistent quality you would expect from their oil pastels. This is such a beautiful and rich color and the pastel is a buttery smooth texture. It is worth the extra expense to for for Sennelier over hobbyist brands of oil pastels.

So I really wanted to let everyone know, first off, I LOVE how creamy this brand is. Easy to blend BUT...I have one probem, the colors are transparent!!! I use Mungyo oil pastels and they are not quite as creamy but they are AMAZING and VERY MUCH DENSE IN COLOR. I tend to layer these on top of Mungyo just for a bit extra help in some areas. Other than that I think the pricing and how creamy these are is just awesome.

The best oil pastels you can buy. The blackest black. Godson super smoothly. Is softer than other oil pastels. Sennelier is the best brand available. I also use their spray fixativ for oil pastel.
