This door weather strip is really thick. It will fit a large gap, if you have one, in your door or window. It was easy to cut using a box cutter and the adhesive strip provided a good hold. I used a brad nailer to just secure it at the ends. I wish it came in different colors, as the white really stands out against a wood colored door, but you really don't see it when the door is shut. Looking forward to much less drafts this winter.

I have installed this product around my doors and honestly I was worried about how the adhesive would work or not, but the adhesive is very strong and works very well. Now you do have to clean the area first before sticking to the framework. You will be surprised with this product. Works very well with a nice seal.

As others have pointed out, the seal comes tightly wrapped and as a result will have creases that won't come out over time. It looks super janky but doesn't affect functionality because the silicone is soft and flexible enough to flatten down past the creases and still make for a good even seal around the door frame. The adhesion promoter has a strong chemical smell but does work as intended in that it cleans and primes the surface for better adhesion. I used the seal on the door that separates my basement and garage and so far it's holding on well and working well too. I do recommend this product and wish I would have known it when I bought the house 3 years ago.

I have used products like these before in door jambs as weather stripping. That is the same purpose I am using this. The supplied adhesion promoter wipes were dried out. Otherwise, this is easy to install. I wiped down the door jambs with the dried wipes and then peeled the backing off of the strip. I attached it and it is sticking well enough. We’ll see how long it continues to stick. So far, so good.

So far this is doing a really good job as a solution to get some simple weatherstripping for the winter time on an exterior door. The adhesive strip holds up fairly well, but it will be very dependent on the surface It is attaching to. Make sure that you have paint that is fairly well intact because you do run the risk of the paint chipping off if it seems to be older.Does materials holding up quite well so far and even does a good job where I haven’t placed on the bottom of my door where there is just the slightest gap.

The product comes without instructions so you'll have to know where you want to put this for best effect. Silicone seems durable and so far the glue seems to hold tight even when I placed it betwern a very narrow gap. We'll see how long that will last. Decided to add this to 1/2 of two doors. The top and opening side as those are the areas the front and back door had the biggest gaps. The product comes with a type.of cleaning cloth that might leak a bit so when you open the bag you'll smell that particular chemical. It's supposed to clean and prep the area to help with the bonding. The product is enough plus about 1 foot to go around a standard door frame. If it's cheap enough this might be able to save you a few pennies on the electric bill depending how good or bad your doors are sealing in the first place. Works well so far.

I got this for a basement door that sealed very poorly. While I had already installed something to block drafts under the door, I realized the real issue was that the door itself barely sealed when closed. This weatherstripping was easy to apply and immediately made the door close more firmly. The results were noticeable right away. Using a laser thermometer, I measured a 15-degree difference in temperature inside the basement door after applying this weatherstripping. It made a huge improvement in keeping the cold out and the warmth in.My only complaint is with the packaging. The weatherstripping comes rolled up so tightly that it’s difficult to ever stretch it out straight again. It works fine once applied, but it would be much easier to handle if it came folded in a straight line rather than rolled. This is one area where it feels like you’re getting what you pay for.Overall, though, this product is effective and affordable, and it’s made a big difference in my basement’s insulation. Despite the packaging, I’d still recommend it for anyone dealing with drafty doors.
