Clever design a real gardner must have thought of it. The tools are a perfect measure. Now just have to get the seeds to all cooperate.

I have planted marigolds, lavender, and rosemary in them so far. Marigolds per the seed packet germinate 5 to 8 days. Using this product, most germinated in 3 days. Out of 12 cells (6 cells each container) 10 sprouted. Lavender, per the seed packet, germinate 15 to 20 days. The front 2 cells, had 2 germinate in 8 days. Those were the 2 closest to the window. So I elevated the other side so the rest of the cells would get more direct light, hopefully that will help. The rosemary, per the seed packet germinate 10 to 20 days. None have germinated. I am trying elevating them as well. Rosemary has a low germination rate so I'm not frustrated with this product. Also, it's only been 8 days. There is still hope. Glad I got these, good for beginners. The tools are also helpful. I used a potting soil and a raised bed soil for each set of marigolds. Both are doing good. I used the potting soil for the lavender and the rosemary. For the humidity dome, I never fully closed it. I got best results from half open. Once I had sprouts I removed the lid. I did have some stragglers so i kept the vent open and lightly put the dome on, I didnt seal it. If kept on too long it can harm the sprouts. It is also easy to remove plants ready for transplant to a different pot/container. The squeeze bottom is great. I also like the bottom piece of the container so you can water from the bottom, encouraging the roots to reach to get the water. Also, it helps with the humidity dome, keeping things moist as the water evaporates.

Was personally impressed with the seed starter tray set. Should get a many years of use out of the individual trays. Ordered on a Sunday and they arrived on a Monday. Fantastic delivery service. Have planted seeds and just need to watch them grow.

Well they survived the first season [EDIT: But hardened and some cracked 2nd or 3rd season] multiple seedling cycles flawlessly and have eleviated my concerns about the fusion between silicone bottoms and semi flexible uppers to a large degreeThe compartment tray inserts are definatelly sturdier than most here which are just thin flimsy plastic which can handle 2 or 3 cycles , but crack afterwards , these should last ... should being the operative word, not knowing how well dif material joint holds upThe domes are also heavier material than others I have gotten and to my delight , really tallThe water trays are 'average'I also like that they fit my previous / originaly purchased trays , so I can move things as neededI WISH I COULD JUST BUY THE INSERTS SEPARATELLY [Especially now that I find a 3 season limit - what am I going to do with all these trays and domes] to use in my larger trays that can hold 4 inserts and fit a heat mat (got the 12 cell ones separatelly) making overall servicing of seedlings way easier(Or sell them as sets, 2 large trays, 8 inserts .... but I have my trays).[EDIT: sorry, had to take off a * ... wish there was a 10 point system]

Updated review!! After my first review, the seller promptly reached out and sent directions to troubleshoot and correct the lighting issue. It worked and all lights are functioning perfectly! These seedling trays are perfect. The first set of seedlings are already in the garden and I planted new seeds today. Will update with more pics soon. Highly recommend!! And thank you to the seller for all your help on resolving the issue!Initial review:Grow lights on three of the five lids don’t work. It a defect in the cords because they will work if plugged into a different cord. These are not great quality lights or usb cords. However, the trays and lids themselves are great quality! Planted seeds on 02/13 and have sprouts already on 02/16. The extra little shovel and tools were very helpful as well. I really wish all the lights had worked, as these would have been a 5 star purchase. I’m sure the seed starter trays and lids will last many growing seasons if cared for properly.

I've had seed starter kits in the past but they were cheap flimsy plastic. I thought I would give this product a try. I can tell you I'm very impressed with the quality. The plastic for the lid and water collection tray is very strong and durable. The silicone green portion of the tray is going to be a life saver once my seedlings root and I have to transfer them. The container lid makes a tight click which is perfect for holding humidity. The LED lights are red and blue and are very bright (dimmable). Controls are easy to use and are set it and forget it with the timer. It comes with two handy tools for planting the seeds, labels, and even a marker. Total of 5 trays which allows for 30 plants total. I have seeds in 5 spots and a plant cutting in the 6th (pictured). Great product and cannot beat the price.
