Largest one I have seen yet does the job for heavy duty large gauge extension cords. I have also been able to house a 24v wall transformer in it due to it's larger size and seal it up. Can't use both outlets with the transformer since it covers up the 2nd one but otherwise works PERFECT for my powering of a ZOOZ Outdoor motion sensor as a repeater for home automation.

The cover was great and would had worked well with normal plug, however I needed it to cover my RV outlet. I had to use a 20 amp adapter for the 30 amp extension cord. Given the size I ended up cutting out more of the cover to accommodate the end of extension cord plus adapter. The latter is very wide so I had to make opening larger for it to work.

I have a door camera powered by an adaptor which prevents the use of the other receptacle without unplugging it. I remedied this by adding an extender plug on the adaptor. The deep weather proof cover cannow enclose that GFI receptacle perfectly.

The 5 1/4 inch depth, "extra deep" cover is awesome if you have fairly rigid 12gauge extension cable you are plugging in. It gives enough space for a more gentle arc. I've used some 12 gauge extension cables which are more flexible (thinner insulation) and they work okay with "regular" deep outlet covers but I would still much rather use this one. You would think it might look a little ridiculous on the side of the house considering how far the cover sticks out but I've never noticed it and thought it didn't look okay. Maybe because of the clear cover it blends in a little better, maybe even due to the color of my house, who knows -- in my experience it looks good!. The lock is not only a nice to have feature but if you really want to keep this thing closed the you'll need to use it because otherwise it's fairly easy for the cover to pop open, for example if you move the extension cord around then it can easily pop open the cover and you might not notice. The only slight knock I have on this, and for which I don't take anything against it but just a comment -- once you mount it vertically or horizontally you will remove tabs that must be broken off and so you can't change the orientation later. Again, not really a knock on the knock-outs (sorry) but just something to keep in mind.

This deep outlet cover took less than 2 minutes to install. It is sufficiently deep enough to allow you to plug in an outdoor cord and still close the box to make a weathertight seat. After buying and installing one, I immediately ordered a 2d one for my other outlet. Fits perfect for a one gang outlet.

I have a security cam on my back porch where the geniuses that designed it decided a plug that blocks both outlets was a good idea. I wanted to easily use the 2nd outlet while safeguarding the outlet with the camera. The standard sized covers weren't large enough to hold the 2 pigtails and camera AC block, but with this it all fits. I have a pigtail on the 2nd outlet that faces down out of the hole from the cover allowing me to leave it and use without having to open the cover every time and deal with the wires which is what I wanted. Installed in 2 minutes and adapters fit properly. Good product value.

I used to protect the gazebo lights remote control station it has room enough to fit controls or plugs ,is easy to adapt and comes with different options to fit.

Easy to assemble. Seems weathertight. Plenty of depth and good clearance from bottom for the two piggyback cables. A little tight horizontally where the piggyback plug is a bit pinched against the housing but ok so not 5 stars on assembly. Best I was able to find. No such deep housing seems to be available in hardware stores such as Home Depot.

The cord we use for our pump is heavy - #10 AWG. The other weatherproof boxes are too shallow and don't close with the cord plugged in - the cord is too thick to bend tightly.It took about 20 minutes to change out the cover from our old one. It fit as it should - the screw holes lined up. All of the screws required were included in the package. The templates were interesting - I only needed the Decora plate - the other 2 had opo-outs to fit every other kind of receptacle in the cabin plus a few types that I don't have anywhere. I think it will fit most things you need.The gasket seals tight - no more GFCI trips since it was installed!
