I was hopting to use this as an ethernet service connection box at an RV hookup station; however the 1/2" diameter holes don't fit the RJ45 jack heads. I'm still planning to use the box, but something will need to be modified to make this work.Cute box; a little on the small side for Coax or Ethernet, but it could work well for DIY electrical cable connections with the included easy-connect 4 terminal box that they claim supports up to 40A current! Is that total, divided amongst the 4 terminals, or per each terminal?I appreciate the sturdy clean plastic, waterproof hinges and silicone gasket. Looks like a quality product. Will update after modified and installed.

Sunday, February 9, 202512:37 PMI have a lot of DIY electrical hobbies. Most of them involve my Jeep Wrangler. It's my toy, and it's become a platform for other toys, most of which require wiring. I have LED pods, LED strips, signs, whips, all sorts of silly things. I have a lot of places where wire meets, connects, joins, or any other term you'd like to use for the potential of bare wire being exposed to the elements. Some of my Jeep connections are external, and even the external ones aren't guaranteed to stay dry. I'm always looking for options to increase the waterfastness of my setup, so when I saw this I had to try it.It arrived in a plain box and included the junction box, a set screw wire distro, and smaller gaskets for the wire entrance/exit.This is a nice little junction box! I recently discovered a smaller version of this that allows wires to be joined in butt connectors and have the little junction as an additional waterproofing measure, and this works for that purpose. This would also work for an external ground block I'm considering. I have a few gadgets that I could be grounding to a single point and it could work well there. You feed the wires into the top and bottom, join them using the included set screw distro, your own distro, or using crimp or some other way to join your wires. Then the lid has three screws (included) to fix it down.My only complaint is that this is closed and held shut/waterproof through three tiny screws. I would have rather had a lever or push latch or something that didn't require screws, but maybe had a screw as a "security". Having to take out tiny screws when it's cold or wet is never fun, and I like to have quick access to my connections.Overall I'm pleased with this junction box. It's not the final one I want, I'll keep searching until I find one that doesn't use screws to latch. But until that one comes along I'll give this a shot, and even then I may still find a use for it.As long as you're aware of the screw-down nature of its latching I can recommend.

This was a handy little junction box. I needed something specific and this fit the bill. I’m extremely happy with the results. It’s been out in the rain and snow, and it’s still kept the connections within dry.

I have an outdoor project where I want to join two cables. This box is a great solution. It is a solid box. There is a hinged top with a nice yellow silicone rubber. gasket. The top is held closed with three screws. The screws are self-threading into the nylon bottom of the box. There are mounting tabs on the bottom of the box. There are nice entries for two cables. There are two sizes of waterproof rubber rings for different sizes of cables. The range of cable sizes are from 5mm to 12mm (0.19" to 0.47"). There are knobs that you screw down to seal the rubber rings and hold the cables. Inside, there is a nice terminal strip that pushes onto a post in the bottom of the box. The terminal strip is for up to four circuits with two terminals per circuit. It uses straight slot screws to secure the wires. This box was easy to setup. The terminals made good connections and the cables are securely held. This box worked well for my project and I bought another three-way box that also worked well. I am very happy with this junction box.

Picked up this electrical box because I needed a small junction box for a tight space. I didn't want to leave the electrical splice "free floating" inside the wall and the big orange box store didn't have anything small and easy to use.Love that the lid is on the hindge. Imagine trying to screw on the lid in a tight and uncomfortable position while fiddling with the screws. Supposedly it's waterproof .. it does come with rubber seals, but I didn't and don't want to test that. Comes with a mechanical connector for the wires., but I used good ol' wire twist-on connectors without issue. There is just enough space in the box for a single splice of 12/2 romex, wouldn't try anything larger. Definitely would use again for splicing romex if needed for home projects. Definitely better than leaving the splice only protected by electrical tape.
