I used the sealer on an exterior door. I followed the manufacturer instructions for application. After two weeks with some moderate rain exposure, the sealer failed and allowed the oak door to absorb water and swell. Needless to say, the door is swollen, warped, and now ruined. I will never use or recommend this product again. Stick to varnish and real marine sealers.

This product works great to keep our original Cedar color on our fence. It goes on easy with a large brush.

No issues with application and after a month or so my project is still holding up just fine outside. I used a sprayer and back brushed for the application. Only time will tell how well it holds up in the Florida weather. It looks great so far.

The light brown stain looks good on pine boards and highlights the grain nicely. The polyurethane portion of the product seems to make a nice smooth finish and seal well. Much easier to apply than regular polyurethane.

This is my fourth time getting this product. The first time I got it, it came with UV protection, which is rare for clear sealants. I LOVE how easy this is to apply, it soaks in like water and just works. I used the UV protection one on my tool shed 4 years ago and till today it hasn't grayed! But then I guess they took that off the shelf, because I thought I bought the same product and sprayed it on my cedar fence the same as my shed, but it's completely grayed now.Bottom line: easy to use, feels really natural and safe to use (no smell and you get a little latex layer on your skin that's easy to scrape off), complete protection from mold and rot, but will not prevent graying anymore.Yes, put the second coat on fast if you're going to. In my experience it hasn't needed multiple coats when you apply the first thick enough.Hey Seal-Once! Bring back the UV protection formula, it really worked and the natural alternatives out there are crazy expensive!

I do belive the Quality od the Paint is Good - but frankly looks much more towards orange ( look at the back.of the chest which had no prior colour)- not he Cedar - light wood colour as advertised; yea you may argue the label looks light orange but it's nit still as.light as in picture which looks more pine like; so I'll have to use another colour to paint on top of this one ...good thing I didn't use it for my deck ...

I used the Nano clear in fall 2021 on my new cedar plank deck. I was satisfied with the Nano, though it did not last as long as I had hoped. In spring of 2023, I decided it needed to be resealed, completed in June. I saw bought the newly introduced Nano + Poly this time, but am less satisfied with the result this time. It may last longer, but Nano + Poly seems to have some disadvantages. First, it causes water to remain beaded up on the deck much longer after a rain. The standing water accumulates dirt/dust before it dries and when it does dry, it leaves a dirt spot. The dirt can be washed/scrubbed off, but it is a maintenance issue if you care about how it looks. Second, I spent a lot of time prepping the deck for this reseal job (brush scrubbed with cleaner, rinsed with oxalic and then sodium percarbonate solutions to neutralize the oxalic acid, light sanding, two coats of Nano + Poly, brush applied 20 minutes apart). Now there are small black spots sealed under the new coat that make the deck look dirty. I was hoping this was just due to having cleaned off some of the silver-grey patina that had developed, and that it would even out over the summer as it greyed again. Not so. Probably would have needed to thoroughly sand the entire deck to make it look as good as it did after the first coat. Next time, I will probably rent a sander, take off the Nano + Poly, and just use Nano only.

I purchased this sealer for a landscaping project. Delivered quickly, well packaged and intact. I have multiple 8"x8"x12' northern yellow pine timbers that i stained with dark walnut. They are rough cut and I chose not to sand them.I allowed the stain to fully dry and preformed the entire operation in the garage out of the sun and elements.Two generous coats are important for this sealer. Also it must be above 50°, which lengthened the process due to Ohio's weather mood swings.In the pale, the product is a solid white tint and thin as water. Give her an enthusiastic shake before opening. I applied with a 3" standard brush. No other products used besides minwax stain. Must be clean fresh surface for appropriate adhesion. Sand old finishes off. Goes on white and is easy to see missed spots. Being rough cut timber, it took a little more product to fully saturate. On a smooth sanded surface a little goes quite a long way. I have a photo to show drying stages- fresh coat, about 15mins dry time, and after about 30mins.At 30mins apply your second coat, just as heavy as the first.It's easy to work with. A little messy- don't be shy with it, but it covers great.Drys totally matte, no gloss at all. Looks just like they did with only stain which is just what I wanted.I have a second photo showing our first rain with them on the ground. I waited about a day for sealer to dry before laying them down. The water beads on top which is an excellent sign. I'm hopeful to at least get a few years out of this product before needing refinished.Most important to note ... These beams are laid over gravel and sand with drainage tile underneath, however they still are on the ground, exposed to moisture and in direct sun.This is really the ultimate test for a product like this.If this sealer can survive being exposed all day everyday I don't think there is a project it cant handle.I will update in about a year with photos and hopefully a success story.
