Easy to use and the results were as hoped for. The product does have a strong odor for awhile.

Really brought back the life in my outside swing. It's the best it ever looked. Would definitely recommend.

This teak oil restored my porch dining table to look better than brand new! A little elbow grease goes a long way to restore faded beauty!

We just purchased a 1971 Tanzer sailboat. Although stored in a barn for some years, the teak wood was looking and feeling rough to the touch, as well as badly faded.I wanted a smooth surface on the teak even though the can states that sanding isn't required. I used 180 grit sandpaper on a small electric dual-action sander until the surface had a smooth, uniform appearance. Then, I blew it off with compressed air.I used a 1.5" disposable chip-brush to apply. It may drip since you apply this stuff really wet so it can soak in, so put something under your work. I allowed the first very wet coat to "soak" exactly seven minutes. Then, I applied a second very wet coat, and I wiped it off at fifteen minutes. Don't leave it on for more that 30 minutes, because this stuff starts to dry or "cure" after 20 minutes. I'm not sure which it is.I really wish I took some "before" photos. The difference is night and day. Hope this helps.

Dries quickly and was easy to use. Put this on our new table and chairs and we are very happy with the results.

I did a lot of research and all the experts said to use cetol. I used it on the lounge chairs I built with $600 worth of exotic tropical wood. Put it on according to directions and was very disappointed with the discoloration it caused. It turned my beautiful wood a sickly yellow. In 6 months it was flaking and my beautiful wood was all mottled where this stuff had flaked off. I sanded it all down to bare wood, which was a big job. I got a can of the cheapest teak oil that Lowe's sold and put it on with no additional prep. A year later it still held it’s color and was just starting to wear thin in spots. Lowes no longer carries this minwax product and wouldn't order more. Luckily I found this here on Amazon to give my lounge another coat after a year that the instructions say to do. Stay away from what the experts say and use this. It is much higher quality and 1/3 the price.

Used it for restoring an outdoor dining set - table and six chairs. The transformation was incredible. Used oxalic acid to wash off the old mold and algae, carefully pressure washed the wood then once it dried treated with this teak oil. It's like having a new set, and will treat it again because it was neglected for some time. Ordering another can today. This doesn't have a tint to it, it's mostly clear and keeps the natural look of the teak.

There was lots of bad reviews for this particular brand of teak oil and I was hesitant to order. Overall, I really liked it though. One of the biggest differences I noticed between this and other popular brands, is it’s just a tad darker and more brown than other products I have used that tended to be more golden in color. I actually prefer this slightly darker result, as it feels a bit more stylish. Nobody really has golden toned furniture much anymore. I’m sure if you’re considering this product, you’ve read through the not so flattering reviews, but it worked great for me. I applied it with a small brush and then rubbed the excess off with a rag. It looks great and gave some very old teak a new life. The fumes are pretty strong, so be sure to work in a well ventilated area.
