Time will tell how well it holds up, but it goes on nicely. You need to stir it very well, not just shake the can; there are a lot of solids stuck to the bottom of the can. I was pleasantly surprised by the low-odor nature of this stain. It is very oily and reminds me of stains used by Parks and Forest Service. Can’t beat the price.

I liked the color. It went on and was very shiny. The problem is it has been several days and it hasn't dried. It is on a ramp landing so I am not able to use ramp. Today my plan is to wipe it off and see what happens so wish me luck folks. It did look lovely with the sheen and color, I am hoping for the best so gave it a 3.The issue is it has to be stirred constantly. Had the painter constantly stir the stain doing the landscape timbers and it went on and dried fine. The landing we wiped and finally dried. I update the review but please keep it stirred for a 5.

This was my 1st experience using a Stain & I was "Shocked at the Ease of Use, The results as well as how well it worked even in cooler temperatures. The stained pulled out All the Character of the Wood, and it was the Easiest experience I have had working on a Outdoor Project! I used this on my stairs and this stain worked great! It goes a long ways, too. The color was beautiful!! I went by the directions and made sure no rain for 3 days after applying. When it did rain, it beaded up on the steps. I would highly recommend this product!

Not what I had hoped for. Does not stay mixed well, changes tone as you brush. Did not hold up once stained, changed tone within a month. Have used cheaper stains with better, longer lasting results. probably will not repurchase due to need of 2x the amount to satisfy me.

This stain is excellent. Don't be fooled like I was. I had written a negative review because the stain was coming out nothing like the pictures. And my wood fence was hardly looking stained at all. Turns out, you have to mix the heck out of this. I thought just leaving the can upside down for a day and then shaking it well before pouring would get the job done as far as mixing. Absolutely not. You have to pour some of the contents into another container, then shake the remaining stain in the can well. Transfer the contents of the container back into the can, shake, and repeat the process a couple of times to really get a good mix in. Otherwise, you'll get hardly any color. I ended up having to restain a few parts of my fence over again which was a pain. But once mixed, it stays mixed pretty well. I just for precaution shook the can each time before I poured more for use. The consistency seems rich. And the stain goes on with ease and takes time to soak in. And the color is absolutely fantastic.I've never stained anything before, and my large fence was my first time doing so. It was a lot of work, but it looks darn good. I'd definitely recommend buying some type of stain sprayer for larger projects. I used the Wagner on Amazon for $85. Works well enough.

This stuff is amazing. I have never stained wood before believe it or not, and I have no experience using a product like this before and I am thoroughly impressed with the outcome!I did a lot of research on different wood stains and sealers and I finally landed on this one based on the reviews. I recently had a new redwood fence installed (22 feet long, 6 feet high) and was looking for something to darken it up a bit as well as protect it. I decided to go with a semi-translucent oil-based stain and this one did not disappoint!I've included both a before photo and an after photo. I did two coats about 24 hours apart using a paint sprayer I also bought on Amazon (YATTICH Paint Sprayer is the one I bought) and it worked amazingly well. I purchased two gallons but the whole fence (22ft long x 6ft tall) coated twice took exactly one gallon so I will be returning the second gallon. Using the paint sprayer (and a 4-inch brush for back-brushing), the application of the first coat took about an hour and a half, and then the second coat took about an hour.It looks even better in person, these photos don't do it justice. I did back brush it, but honestly, it didn't seem to be running and went on incredibly evenly. Can't speak to the longevity of this product, but it looks amazing right now!
