I was told this hard drive allowed you to play games directly from it yet when I try to play a game from the hard drive it tells me that I can't and that I need to move the game to the xbox's internal hard drive... the whole reason I bought this was because my xbox internal hard drive can only hold maybe 4 games and if I want to play another I have to delete and redownload the one I want to. Makes gaming really not any fun anymore.

The drive is exactly as expected. 5tb external Xbox compatible. However the free gamepass did not work. Not sure if it’s because my husband already has gamepass or what but I tried the code card and it threw an error.

It works with the Series X but it doesn’t allow you play any new gen games off of it due to it requiring the power that comes from the internal hard drive. If you plan of downloading X-Box one or 360 games then it will do its job but that’s it
