Took this to go snorkeling in Bahamas. I blew it up a few times before I left to get it stretched a bit to make it easier. At home, I used an electric pump to be quick and just didn't try to push it. I bought a cheap Wal-mart pump for about $3. Got it pumped pretty quick on the beach.Didn't have any problem with the flag. Just stuck it in - it was nice and tight. If it wasn't, I would have wrapped the end with some duct tape. No need, tho.I did take a plastic shopping bag to fill with sand for ballast and a string to attach it to use stationary when I wanted. Actually, most of the time.All in all, glad I had this. I'll use it whenever I go - either in Bahamas or here at my home in FL. It all compressed down so I can carry it in my snorkel bag. Very convenient!

This is a great little buoy. Easy to inflate, and instead of weights, you just fill the bottom compartment with water to keep it upright on the water. Great design. We tow it with a quarter inch rope, which fits through the ring on the bottom with ease.

I really recommend this Scuba Inflatable Floater with Dive Flag, it really works, and works well, I took it this summer, on at least 15 diving trips, performed great, even in rough areas like rocky point, I was thinking it might last me 2-3 trips, and it was ok.. but nope, went diving in cancun and other areas after that.. works great, and it deflates so it can fit in your divers bag, just tie a rope, and secure it underwater, and the flag is up, sometimes I would tie a rock so it can hold it up, and just drag it, under the water for safety.

This product is great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for durability is that it’s plastic. You do need to pre fill it or take a cup to fill the ballast. I’ve used it many times and am very happy with its performance and compact size.

We bought this for scalloping from our kayaks in the Gulf of Mexico. It is small and hard to see in the water. We now set it on the kayak. This would be a great dive flag for personal use - like walking or swimming out to where you will be diving. With other items in the water, it gets lost.I will say the float is nice - fill the bottom with water then blow up the top. It is very easy to transport. I would buy this again but not for use with our kayaks or any other boat. For those purposes, buy a flag to put on a longer pole.

This works great for snorkelling but keep in mind you need a good hand line for it. A small mesh bag to tie on is also great for holding on to things you might find... For the price this is a great deal.
