The scribing tip was broken during shipment. I’m hoping to get a replacement sent to me instead of returning the whole item. Any help from manufacturer would be appreciated!

This vernier is very accurate the inch vernier is .008 and the metric is .004 thousand accurate. What I found is to set the length with gage blocks to be the most accurate. This a good metal scribe.

A really useful adjustable scribe for marking out on metal and wood. The metal scribe pint can easily be changed for a writing point. The slide is adjusted and locked at a chosen measurement by means of a knurled screw. This kind of precise scribe an be used to mark out joints in furniture making or musical instrument making.

It arrived with a broken tip because of poor packaging, but the company found an agreeable solution. It comes with a spare tip so I was able to use it right away. It works perfectly and for thus price, it can't be beat.
