These work perfect and accurate enough for me. I use them to measure tie rods and turnbuckles on my RC cars and getting a 0.1mm margin of error is more than enough.

If you're looking for something with the utmost precision, this isn't for you. This rounds to the nearest 0.01" or .1mm.If you're looking for a toughness and durability, this isn't for you. It's plastic, and not "carbon fiber" as noted on its back label. As I could tell, it's a reinforced type of nylon/plastic.If you're looking for something faster to read than manual calipers at a friendly price, then this is worth it. I mean, a cup of coffee can cost more than this! Naturally, no case is included, though a spare battery is. It's a "good enough" set of calipers at a "good enough" price. 5 stars for the value.---EDIT: If the readings are getting erratic, then odds are the battery is getting low. This uses a single LR44 (also known as AG13, A76, or 357) battery, though they're much more reasonably priced when purchased in quantity.

Full disclosure, I received this item as part of Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, good or bad. If you need budget friendly calipers this a pretty good. They are priced right, so you could buy several pair and leave them around your shop. They work well and seem to be reliable. I would not be afraid of dropping these. They are also easy to read. They do have two issues. One is they "turn on" when the jaws are slid open or closed. This means they don't actually turn off. If you put them in a vehicle or tool bag, every time you move them, they will turn on and run the battery down. Many inexpensive calipers do this and it is hard to find a set that does not. Because of this "feature", they are for shop use only. The second issue is that they only display 0.00 inches and not 0.000 like the more expensive models. They will be fine for woodworking, 3D printing or other makers. Machinist need to look at something else, with at least a 10X or more higher price tag.
