The Windwar5.0 comes with the Shimano 105 groupset, but the bike arrived with Sora. I got an immediate response (modulo the difference in timezones) and, after proving the mixup with some photos, Savadeck approved a return. I packed up the bike (whew!) and dropped it off at the UPS store. Today, the replacement bike arrived. To compensate for their mistake, my considerable effort in packing up the return, and my extended wait for my bike, Savadeck upgraded the alloy wheelset to carbon!I understand that mistakes are sometimes made, but it was nice of the company to do right by their customer.I quickly assembled the bike; it weighs 19.2 lbs with the heavy, clunky pedals that came with the bike. I took it for a spin around the block. I'll need to do some adjustments to get rid of the creaks. The freehub, when coasting, is very loud (could be a sign of a high end wheelset). I can't say how it compares with the hubs that come on the alloy wheelset.Overall, I am pleased with the company and with the bike.

Bike came much sooner than I expected. Easy to assemble and have about 300 miles on it. No issues for the first 150 miles than I started getting a knocking sound on left side on left power stroke. No matter what gear I was in. I finally sent SAVA USA an email 3 weeks ago and still waiting for a response! No response is the reason for a 4 Star rating rather than a 5. After I googled my experience I found a number people ( not just SAVA bikes) that said to check the foot pedal. Took off Pedal lubed and retightened, problem fixed. Also had issue with Shifting to Large gear. Had on a bike rack and worked great but when riding could not shift to large gear. Had to over compensate adjustment to be able to change and works fine. Great bike for the money!

The bike comes pre-assembled, meaning you’re not pulling cables. With some basic googling anyone can get it together. You should plan on taking a second (again with google) to set it up. Think brakes, some derailleur adjustments etc. Be patient and it’s not that hard. The frame doesn’t creak and actually feels phenomenal. No matter my adjustments it rubs slightly on the cassette‘a high and low gears, but not badly. Other than that I have nothing but great things to say about it. It’s a great bike!

I thought I was going out on a limb purchasing a "discount bike" sight-unseen online. I'm returning to riding after over a decade and I'm currently not in the position to spend a lot of money on a bike. I bought the Windwar roadie on the recommendations of a lot of people here, and I'm so glad I did. Taking risks don't always pay off, but this did. I took people's advice...about $150 total to replace the stock pedals with Shimano clip-ins and a new saddle. Have it professionally tuned, and voila! I'm back riding like the wind...this thing has the ride AND the look of a $3,500 bike...it's light, tight, responsive, and the frame is creak-free. The Shimano 105 gearset is the best bang-for-the-buck component you'll find, brakes seamless and responsive. I'm MORE than happy with it, and it exceeded my greatest hopes. A sidenote: my last roadie was an Eddy Merckx with all Campy components, so I'm not unfamiliar top-end rides. The perfect re-entry to high-intermediate bike that you won't outgrow unless you're a gadget-addicted technoweenie, or thinking of entering the Tour de France.
