It looks amazing just make sure you have a way to make it shorter if it's too long

These are not brass they are painted gold to look like brass. They are steel that cannot be used on guitars. This is a scam. I will be sending them back

I purchased an Epiphone DR100WR acoustic which was a pretty cheap entry level guitar. My thoughts were that I could pretty much do anything to guitar and not worry too much if it got junked in the process. To my surprise the bridge saddle and nut were solid brass and built well. I sanded down the saddle a little bit to lower the action of the strings and also installed brass pins. The tone of the guitar is bright and full. I was very pleased and have to say that the sustain keeps ringing and the volume of the acoustic is pleasantly louder.

Es latón chapado en oro, lo cual está excelente si no lo tienes que modificar, pero si es así, después de quitarle la chapa, puedes volverlo a pulir y quedará el color dorado latón, que en lo personal me gusta más que con la chapa

I added this to my guitar and I filed the nut down to lower the action and had to file the ends of the bridge so that it would fit into place. The end results are easier to play and clearer tones. With new strings it sounded really bright and did appear to effect the bass but after breaking in the strings it definitely sounds much better than before.I do recommend this product. It takes some maintenance for installation however it made a big difference for me and trashed the plastic junk.

For the price this is a really good deal. I wouldn't listen to the people complaining that you have to sand it down. Yes its brass it will take a longer time to sand. It is good that it is a bit larger rather than being smaller. Makes the resonance on my acoustic guitar way better.

I took a gamble on this here Golden Plated Saddle and Nut set, as there are a lot of fakes out there on the market claiming that there made of brass, but actually their made out of some form of cheap pot metal then gold plated all shiny like to conceal the lie. Thats pretty much anything that has Made in China on it, but low and behold this is actually made of brass! Its definitely got a brass core alright.I'm restoring a guitar and wanted a brass nut and saddle for it but I couldn't find an actual solid brass set so I had to settle on this for now. I took some 1200 grit sand paper and went to work on the saddle, under the gold plating there is also a copper plating which is a base for the gold plating, and under that, shiny brass! It took me about an hour and two sheets of sand paper to get to it, the brass polishes easily and looks better and cleaner with out the gold plating and will age and antique nicely over time. I used 1200 grit, but you may want to try something lower cause that copper as you can see from the pictures is more stubborn to get off than the gold plating so start with a low grit and work up to a finer grit to give it a desired polish.I give it three stars for being made of genuine brass, but took a star off for the hassle of having to sand that ugly bling off of it, I got a bit more work to do including sanding and filing down the nut before installing it into the guitar. I might post a pic of that when I'm all done, so stay tuned for that.I wish these manufacturers and sellers would stop screwing around trying to screw everyone over and just offer a natural genuine brass saddle and nut set instead of torturing their customers with this kind of garbage. tfr.

Takes a lot of effort to sand and shape, don’t know why they even bother gold plating when 99.99% of the time you’re going to have to resize it to your preferred string height. Under the plating it does seem to be real brass it’s bright freshly sanded then darkens up a bit with patina. The string grooves are a tad bit of a pain without the right files, used a cheap file set and it takes so much patience. Still haven’t fully adjusted it 😅 I’ve pretty much say it aside not sure when I’m going to get back to it. The bridge is too thin for my guitar too much roll, so I can’t use it.Didn’t realize how much work I was in store for when I got this. It’s very tall and will have your strings high and will take soooooo much time and effort to get it down without a power sander 😭 sorry I’m too lazy to go get it and post pictures of it’s brassiness, I’ll update and post pics whenever I get to finishing it 😅
