These are totally fine, quality bone nut blanks. They're big enough to fit almost any nut with I've come across so far. Nice vintage coloring throughout, not bleached white. They don't seem to crumble, they don't seem to be brittle. I am my professional guitar tech, and I use these in my repair shop. I don't have any complaints about these. They do come with a little sheet of 1000 grit sandpaper, which is sort of goofy because it's going to take a lot more than that to shape this into a guitar nut, but it doesn't hurt to have an extra piece of sandpaper kicking around.

I didn't realize that my bone was cracked until I changed my strings. These blanks were perfect. I trimmed and sanded them down to size and it fit perfect.
