Our electronic scales decided to give up the ghost after 15+ years and so I decided to invest in a set of good old mechanical scales.Salter is a brand which I know and trust as is a long established name. The scales have an easy to read display and are easy to set to zero.I have just bought a bag of flour which hasn’t been opened, so a good test as soon as I’d unpacked. As you can see from the photos they are accurate (at least accurate enough for home baking).The 1l container supplied with the scales is dishwasher safe which will be useful for a lot of people. I like the look of the scale, our kitchen is very small, the scales are perfect in size, sitting nicely on the windowsill. I’m not overly happy storing the unit in the container so have inverted the container over the unit.Build quality seems adequate, will see how they stand the test of time.All in all good value for money.
