It's fine.. I appreciate that you can put it in the dishwasher.But, in short, it's a very basic scale, prone to bouncing like crazy, and as far as aftermarket is concerned, they sell very few spare parts for things that you need when you need them.This scale for example - you can't buy the front dial knob, even though the scale is held together by 4 screws, and the instructions openly invite you to clean it on the inside if need be, and the front knob is removable. I've done it many times.I inquired to the cost of a replacement, and was told that it was 'impossible to replace' and I would have to pay a 65 dollar service fee and send the entire scale to them.Not only is it not impossible to replace, (a single screw holds the back to the front) but the need to send in the entire unit is a waste of everyone's time and resources. I'd honestly rather they actually charge a flat rate 65 dollars on every spare part than that nonsense.This is not unintentional, and grinds you for money when they could easily just sell spare parts like every other manufacturer.These scales are fine, if a little unrefined, with lots of places to catch grease and grime, but if you're in this for the long haul, and this is in a commercial setting, I'd look elsewhere. You're going to pay more than once here.

Easy to clean, and a must for controlling costs. Be ready to pay top dollar. I have seen scales cheaper, but Edlund in a reputable name in the industry and you won't find them in all stainless steel.
