The silly center black label next to the dial isn’t fixed, so rotates occasionally when I move the dial and so its center arrow isn’t useful. Can’t figure out how to fix it.If you want a really heavy one, it’s going to cost a lot more, the construction seems adequate for the money, except for the silly center piece.I’m using it in my pottery studio, so size and functionality is great. Didn’t want to deal with batteries anymore.

I love the rotating dial to take a quick tare weight. That combined with the analog nature means I can toss on one of my mini coconut bowls, rotate the dial for the tare and then take my time in cutting up my food items and puting them in the bowl. Then, I can stick it back on and the tare is already set. The electronic scales are always timing out and resetting. It is pretty darned accurate, but it does require you to use your own judgement as to the angle of your eye because the needle is farther from the numbers than it should be.

I use this to weigh my kittens and its a great scale.I bought a digital scale but it didnt work and when I tried to find one that worked no luck after trying about 10 at Walmart so I went old school and got this one and love it so worth it...

My wife tested it and says it is very accurate. I use it to measure farm chemicals (4 ounces to 5 pounds). For the bigger numbers I weigh several part batches and add up the weights. I seem to be able to hit the desired weight better with this scale because I can watch the needle move. Not five stars since they made it with very thin steel.

I’ve had enough of products made in China whose shelf life is less than a year, and that scale is it.The reason I bought is because I was looking for a replacement for my electronic kitchen scale that broke, you guessed, 1 year after I bought it. Why did it broke? I’ll never know, but guess how much I paid it for? Same as is this scale: 30 USD.This ‘precision’ (LOL) scale weighs (no pun intended) almost nothing. It’s hard to describe but it feels like these cheap tin toys we used to have as kids, with lots of of colors and an interior mechanism always prompt to brake and rust.And that’s what this is: a tin box (the worst tin you can think of, given it’s Chinese tin which is reputable full of impurities).The mechanism inside is so small and fragile that the smallest amount of moist will rust it and brake it in no time. For 30 USD.This isn’t even worth 5 bucks.
