During the test, let the hydrometer slowly fill with water to prevent air bubbles from adhering to the pointer. (2)When the water is full and level with the top of the baffle, take out the hydrometer and place it on a level surface. (3)Air bubbles attached to the pointer will cause inaccurate readings, tap the hydrometer carefully to shake out the attached bubbles.
