I'm new to the reefing hobby and was excited to use this tool rather than having to test each water parameter separately. But it wasn't worth it to me b/c I don't believe the readings were accurate. The different settings weren't easily explained in the little book that passed for instructions. On that note, the instructions are bad. They are confusing and just don't make sense. I bought my saltwater from the pet store so I know what the salinity was, but the meter was off from the get-go. I think temp and pH read ok, but I was never able to get the salinity, which is what I really wanted the meter for.

This digital water tester is a fantastic all-in-one tool for measuring salinity, pH, temperature, EC, and TDS levels in various water sources. It provides quick and accurate readings, making it perfect for pools, aquariums, hot tubs, hydroponics, and even home brewing. The display is clear and easy to read, and the device itself feels sturdy and well-built. Whether you're maintaining water quality for fish tanks or ensuring balanced pH in drinking water, this tester is a reliable and convenient solution!

pH meter useless! It didn't read accurately to start with and I couldn't calibrate bc the directions were not only cryptic but actually completely wrong. I spent 2 hrs trying calibrate it following the directions and trying different versions based on guessing and looking online. In the end it just didn't work. I could get it to calibrate for one buffer but then when I tried the same sequence for the next buffer it would suddenly not work! Super frustrating!

UNYVERWISE 5 in 1 Pool Salt Tester & pH Meter - I’m new to the blowup jacuzzi club and really only needed this meter for temperature and PH monitoring to avoid waiting on a PH strip to colorize and then having to match it to a chart. 1st: The instructions are very lengthy and unclear. This instrument does so many functions that aren’t needed, it is confusing. 2nd: When putting it into the spa (and doing exactly as described in the instructions) 5 minutes apart, you get substantially different readings on both temperature and PH. I think this pool tester may be of better use on a saltwater aquarium than on a jacuzzi pool. We’re disappointed in this tester and cannot recommend it.

It's cheap and there's a reason! I frequently use both EC and pH meters for hydroponics. I used to purchase cheap meters from Amazon, but the pH meters were never accurate and wouldn't hold calibration. Eventually, I forked out money for high quality meters and standards. The pictures of this meter looked good, and I was hoping that it would be somewhat accurate. It would be REALLY nice to have an all-in-one meter for checking hydroponic solutions, but NO!As mentioned previously, I used to purchase cheapy EC and pH meters. EC (conductivity) is a very simple function, and nearly all cheapy meters worked for EC (fairly accurate and consistent), but pH meters are delicate. The bulbs must be kept moist. If they are not gong to be used for any period of time, they should be stored in KCl solution. This meter came dry with a piece of foam stuck/glued to the pH probe - not a good sign.I didn't even check the pH meter function because the EC was so crazy off there's no chance the pH meter would be accurate. You can see in the image I attached that I was testing EC on a brand new 1413 micro s solution. First, temperature measurement is crucial for accurate EC measurement. I left the probe in for a few minutes, and it kept reading 68 degrees, in reality it was 62 degrees. You can also see that the meter reads 1200. That was because it happened to be that reading when the picture was taken. You're supposed to gently swirl meters in solution to get a stable reading. If you even slightly move this meter, it jumps around by several hundred points. The instructions are useless. I did attempt to calibrate the meter (instructions claim there is no need,) but the calibration never worked either. This meter is garbage.

I like that this meter came with a cap to protect the tester probe. It also comes with batteries, and 3 PH Buffer Powders. The instructions that come with this meter are very thorough in how to get through the menu of the device. I can't wait to use it on my next testing for my hydroponics.
