Was hoping it would have worked better. It seemed like there was a defect in the blade which caused a line when skimming. Tried to wipe the blade and still caused a line when skimming.

Great tool. I ordered the 24" version to help me re-drywall an older house with some very uneven walls. Works great to take the low spots out of my drywall. Easy to use, easy to clean.

It looks nice and has a good handle and decent weight.Unfortunately, there are some quality issues that can't be ignored and put in question durability and performance of the item.The black end caps at each side look like they do not fit very well because there is some stress on the blue plastic. In some areas the whole cap does not go inside the blue side completely. They do come loose.The blade looks nice, unfortunately the integrity of the body holding it seems questionable. We will see how long it lasts, time will tell.

This skimming blade is so good! I call it my butter knife, but it really lets me lay glass when it comes to mudding. I don’t typically do level 5 walls, but this would get you there. For blending tape or damaged spots on drywall, this is a breeze given you’ve got space to use it. I’ve been so happy with the performance of this blade, I’ve been recommending it to everyone!

I got this for skim-coating drywalls in 2 bedrooms on a renovation. The tool looks well-made and is easy to handle. So far, I’ve only used it on the final pass on one of the ceilings. It worked really well. I’m decent in feathering with a 12” taping knife but using this tool is a huge time saver. Also, it will be much easier on my shoulder. I’m looking forward to using it for the rest of the job.

I have a handyman business and we do a lot of drywall repair. We don't often need a skimming blade this large, but better to have and no need versus need and not have.It's made decent. The blade is smooth and flat. I saw others mention the blade had some burs so that was the first thing I checked and mine doesn't.It's very lightweight, but sturdy plastic, so it would be easy to handle over a longer period of time.The blade doesn't have any flex, so it would be more difficult to feather mud.It has a hanging cap on one end, which could be a decent feature, but on mine it is not tight fit and it would just pull out if you tried to hang it.Also, and the reason I reduced a star, you can see where the plastic near the end cap (and opposite) looks like it was stressed as it turned white. I don't know that it's in an area that would harm the use or life of the product, but it's there.Hope that helps.
