Using in Win10 environment to backup plex and other data. Much simpler than taking apart machines and connecting SATA cables. Works great, all machines recognize the drive(s) and transfer speeds are about 120MB/sec (a little slower than SATA3, faster than Gbit LAN). For the price you can't beat it.

I needed to clone a hard drive from an older PC to an SSD and had considered various cloning software. Then I found this docking station! It worked perfectly and with plug and play convenience. I installed the cloned SSD and the PC booted up with no issues. Additionally, I had some old hard drives that I needed to format for security purposes….the docking station did this too! It seamlessly adds 1 or 2 additional drives to a PC. It has multiple uses!

Needed to clone my existing hard disk when I replaced it with a solid stat drive. Purchased the SABRENT unit after watching a Youtube video and it worked perfectly. Product met description and delivered when expected.

This is one of those bits of tech you always think you can do without, until you use it! Makes accessing loose sata drives incredibly easy. Just drop the drive (3.5/2.5") into the bay and that's it. Super fast transfer speeds. Works every time all the time. Also, tried out the drive copy feature (This thing does a HD --> HD copy without being connected to a PC) and it works perfectly. The build quality is very good and the manual provided gives clear and detailed instructions on how to operate. Love this device.

I keep backups of my PC on my Synology NAS. I also keep backups of the NAS to External HDD for offsite storage in case of disaster. I decided to use the docking station to make the my copies for offsite storage on bare HDD and just keep them at my relatives. It didn't work at first until I found my mistake.I used Synology USBCopy to transfer the files from the NAS to the dock HDD. I missed unchecking the Eject after Task Completed box in USBCopy. After sending the first file to the dock, the NAS software ordered the dock to eject which caused subsequent file copies to fail AND apparently corrupted the file so the NAS always thought the task was completed if I tried to rerun it. After unchecking the box, everything works perfectly and this is a lot cheaper than buying external USB drives.

I just finished a new PC build. The motherboard I wanted was only available with 4 Sata slots and I needed 6. I tried a couple of PCIE expansion cards, but they either outright would not be recognized, and if they were, they kept crashing my system. My motherboard Sata buss speed is 6gbs. This USB 3.0 fast swap dock runs at 5gbs. It is a simple plug-and-play into an available USB 3.0 port. You can swap the drives on the fly without booting down your system and it can handle drives up to 20tb. Seriously, what more could you ask for? Great product.

In 10 Stunden also ca. 7 TB.

I had used a similar product of another brand years ago and it damaged my HDD. I stayed away from such products for a while. Now I found this brand. This one is made well. I like the USB3 Type B connector. It is rugged and supports reasonable speeds. I now use it to sync up my external drives for backup/archival. I use a combination of SSDs and HDDs.Used it only a couple of times but works well.If I had to pick a problem with this product, it is the easy access to the clone button in the front. It hasn't happened to me (yet) but I fear it is easy to press it accidentally. I plan to use it only once. After that, I will put a flat hard plastic piece over it and tape it up.

I've been using the Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Docking Station for about two weeks now, and I'm generally pleased with its performance. I replaced my old SSK dock with this one after it failed within a year, and so far, this Sabrent dock has been a more reliable choice. The speeds on this dock are definitely an improvement over my old one. I've connected my Synology Disk Station to the dock via USB, and I've achieved transfer speeds of up to 120 MBps. Response times are also snappy, making it easy to transfer files and data. While I haven't had time to thoroughly stress-test this dock, it's been working smoothly so far. The power delivery seems stable, and my hard drive has been running without issues. I appreciate the compact design and the fact that it's easy to set up.Overall, I'm glad I made the switch. This Sabrent dock is a solid upgrade from my previous one, and I'm hoping it will last longer. If you're looking for a reliable USB dock, this one is definitely worth considering.
