Almost done with the first jar ever ordered and my dog appears to be improving after recent bloodwork. Just ordered a second jar so will see if there is further improvement to the dog’s health.

Man, I am impressed with this stuff. My cat has gnarly ammonia breath from his manifold health problems. He’s also super duper picky. I put some of this on his dry food, mix it up so it kinda coats all the food, he can’t even tell it’s there and it’s it all up. The first day I fed this to him his ammonia breath went down to almost no smell and I can tell he’s feeling better in general now that he has less toxins floating around in his system. So grateful!!

My girl Adele's phosphorus levels are back down to completely normal range, so I'm happy with the results

My old gal is 19, and I opted not to go to the vet whenever I had an issue. Once, she was diagnosed with early-stage kidney issues-- and I saw her health decline quickly. I was determined to find my own solutions after much research and trial and error. Obviously, her health was #1. I found and continue to use Rx Vitamins Phos-Bind, along with a dropper full of Pet Wellbeing Kidney Support Gold mixed into either a can of Weruva Wx Chicken in the morning and at night I mix the same into a 1/2 can of Dave's Restricted Diet Phos Pate. I only use 1/2 scoop of the Phos Binder. She now has a wonderfully soft coat, she is healthy, and dare I say, quite plump for a petite little flower! She was only maybe 7 pounds when this all started late last year! Now she is probably like 10+ pounds! Never give up on finding a solution that works for you and your precious! I have even used beef sprinkles in the past. She now does not care for that!

My elderly kitty with CKD needed to go onto a renal diet - and she wouldn't eat it consistently so the vet recommended Phos-Bind be used in her normal (non renal diet). Using Phos-Bind has helped me keep my kitty's phosphorous levels lower and I've been able to (very) slowly start adding in small portions of her renal diet. The amount of binder used is tiny so the container will last a long time, it's tasteless (I tried it) and easily mixes into wet food (for dry food I re-hydrate it and then put the Phos-Bind on it so it sticks and a little "gravy" can be created with a couple squished kibbles).

My firsthand experience with an aluminum phosphate binder for my cat highlights the delicate balance between its benefits and risks. Here's my story to help fellow cat owners navigate this treatment option. At my vet's suggestion, I ordered the binder from Amazon to address my cat's high phosphorus levels. Despite administering the lowest recommended dose for just two weeks, my cat suffered severe side effects. He started stumbling, showing neurological symptoms, vomiting, and completely lost his appetite. Before starting this treatment, my cat was a hearty eater, unconcerned about his phosphorus levels. However, after starting the binder, he developed serious neurological and lethargy issues and refused to eat. I rushed him to the vet, who prescribed an appetite booster and other meds. Thankfully, he got better once we stopped the binder. While this aluminum phosphate binder may help some cats, it's important to understand the potential for serious side effects for some cats, even at lower doses. In my experience, symptoms appeared gradually, and I didn't recognize the connection at first. There are other options to lower phosphorus levels, and while this one is commonly recommended and effective for some cats, close monitoring is crucial to catch any adverse reactions. Unfortunately, he still hasn't gotten his appetite back after using the binder, and he refuses to eat the food he used to enjoy.

The vet recommended for cat with kidney disease, but the cat refused to eat it on dry or wet food. Here is what I do instead: use a small food processor or blender to purée wet food with some water (I use Hills KD tuna pate - the large can, with a half a can of water). Put the purée in a sealed jar in fridge - it’s good for 4 days. Twice a day, spoon some purée into a separate bowl, mix in powder. Draw mixture into a 10 ML no needle syringe (I use Care Touch). Give cat about 1-2 ML at a time with with about 1-2 minute break in between. (There are how-to videos online - it’s most important to stay calm and make it a pleasant experience so they don’t run from you next time.) I wash the syringe in hot water & store in fridge - after 2 days I replace with a new syringe. For my 10 pound cat the vet recommended 1 scoop in morning, and 1 in the evening.

This product really drastically improved my cat’s condition! Let’s face it, FKD leaves us pet owners nearly helpless to improve our beloved animals’ lives. The RX kidney diet food is expensive and the cats absolutely hate it. However, we have to get them to eat or their condition will rapidly progress. This is a fine powder that mixes or dissolves into wet food rather easily and none of our finicky cats seem to have noticed it in their food. I just use the provided scoop to sprinkle some on his food and stir it in. I thought it would take a few days or even a week or so before seeing any improvement but it really was almost overnight that Chief (our cat), started eating more and more. He has gained weight, continues to eat, started bathing regularly again and his foul breath is nearly gone. Please don’t hesitate to give this a try! Hope this helps some pet owners out there.
