My Staffordshire Terrier had one Liver Enzyme over 2000 and out of range. Took Denamarin for 6 weeks on empty stomach as directed. Denamarin states it should take effect in 2-4 weeks. There was no change whatsoever in her liver enzymes. Give it a try and thankfully I just noticed the price dropped from $92 per month to $72. I am now trying Milk Thistle and hoping for the best.

I thought that a chewable tablet would be easier to give to my dachshund, but after just a few days, he refused to take them. A tiny dab of peanut butter remedied that, TG. Still a good product. I just have a picky little guy!

So far I have really enjoyed using this product for my dog. The better absorption and support for liver health is noticeable. It is meant specifically for dogs and it's easy to tell. The high-quality ingredients is a plus. The product also supports digestive health, which is super important. It's no surprise that it's the #1 Veterinarian Recommended supplement. Loving it!

We had a strange experience. Denamarin is supposed to help with elevated liver enzymes in dogs. Well, it didn't lower our dogs liver enzymes but practically overnight she went from being afraid to go on walks to walking a mile. Sam-e of course is frequently used for anxiety in people but we had no idea it would have the same effect on our dog. Our vet was stunned. He had never heard of that happening before. Or at least none of his customers had mentioned it to him, or put two and two together. If we skip a day, she won't go on a walk the next day. We've tested it out several times and are confident it's helping her with low-grade anxiety. He is ok with her taking it indefinitely because her not wanting to go on walks is unhealthy and could cause more problems for her down the road.

Fast service - Nutramax Denamarin lowered my dogs liver enzymes after 3 months of taking them. My small dog does not chew them because too hard but will take them broken in half and swallow them whole.

I'm writing this to counteract any negative feedback. Fact is - this product WORKS amazingly. We have a basenji-mix. She was all beat up back in November. Ran some tests, had high liver counts. An aggressive course of antibiotics initially. We supplemented with Denamarin early on and poof! It was like a rejuvenated dog. Dog continues to have a tremendous amount of energy.A lot of the 1 star rankings are because their dog doesn't like the taste/pill. That's not fair, and not indicative of the product. The fact is, the product works extremely well. It stinks if the dog doesn't like it - but those dogs might be picky eaters in general. Or even if normally not - they just don't like the taste of this particular tablet. Doesn't mean the product fails - cause it doesn't.As for the seller - all is well. Fast deliveries. I even had one minor hiccup where the seal was slightly compromised. Immediately a new bottle was sent out. I even called Nutramax customer service just to confirm the products LOT # - and all was right.Bottom line - product works, and has given our dog seemingly even more energy. If your dog has a picky appetite, maybe try a smaller pack first. Otherwise I can't say enough good things.Only Con - it is super expensive. But if you align it like most prescription-type drugs, I guess it isn't that bad. 75-count bottles last about a month and a half (30lb dog). About a $1.50 a day. I've spent money on worse things, but it would be nice if it was cheaperEDIT: A pack of 75 chewables just went up like $6. That's not cool. Doesn't take away from the product - just kind of crappy on the seller's part.

My dog had an autoimmune disease that led to seizures. She was on a great deal of medications to control the seizures and the reoccurring inflammation in her brain. Needless to say this wreaked havoc on her organs. Denamarin was one of the supplements that was prescribed by a holistic vet to support the functions of her liver. Honestly, I believe it works. My dog lived a long and happy life because we controlled her disease and supported her organs with supplements. However, the two ingredients in Denamarin are easily found at much less of a cost. So check out the ingredients - one I believe is SAM-E . Google them and you'll see that you can buy essentially the same thing for a lot less. But let me add this: this supplement was recommended by a holistic vet who I tryst, and who had no stake or interest in the company. So he felt that this product was better then anything else out there. So I spent the money, and this is what I used.My recommendation, if you want to get the most out of any supplement for your dog, is to consult a holistic vet who understands exactly what this supplement does. Get a complete blood panel done and let them see it and make recommendations. And of course, keeping your dog's stress level at a minimum will also help their health a lot. Good luck.
