Easy to fill gravity water fill. You cannot hook up a hose to this, only set a hose in the opening. No one way valve either. Just a straight opening into your tank. The vent really helps keep the tank from burping out the opening.

This freshwater hatch is just right. Our camper was getting older, and things started drying out and cracking. This was easy to install, looks much better, and works wonderfully. If your camper is getting older, you know things have to be replaced. This is a good buy.

I am converting a horse trailer into a camper - I added a water tank which I needed to vent. This is super easy - just cut a hole in the side of the horse trailer - add this fill spout and run 2 hoses to the tank. 1 to fill and one for the air vent. The air vent on this adapter has a very fine mesh screen to keep out bugs. Simple and effective.

I need to replace the water inlet for the fresh water tank on our camper. So I ordered this for that purpose. However, when it came in, I was not that impressed with what I saw. There is nothing wrong with it except that it feels like a very light piece of plastic...exactly what I am having to replace now. So the first thing going through my mind is do I want to put the same thing back in? Or do I want to find something that feels like it will hold up a bit better? If this were a bit heavier, I would install without question. It looks good, and seems to be of good design and workmanship. It is just the material thickness that is causing me to second guess this unit. The unit I am replacing is brittle from exposure to UV rays and the overflow screen is missing. This one covers the bases to replace those issues. And, it is the correct size and design. The metal water inlets I have found are not designed for the fresh water TANK inlet (they do not have the vent nor are they gravity feed). So there may be nothing out there like what I really want to install. That being stainless steel and/or brass. And this may be overkill, but once I replaced my other inlets with SS/brass, I basically ended my problems with them. I am getting up in age and RV repair is bad enough to keep up with. I do not want to make the same repairs more than once.Sorry for the rant! But unless I find something I have more confidence in, then I guess I won't have much choice but to install this and move on.As I say, it looks good and is the proper size. If that is what you need, you are in luck...get it.

Was looking for a replacement for my previous rv inlet due to the age of the plastic. I really liked how the holes lined up to the previous inlet. After cleaning up the butyl and sealant the install was a breeze everything fit exactly the same.Quality is good little to no flex screws are included however I opted to keep the existing screws to use the same bit as the rest on my trailer.Does the job as intended would recommend if this is what you are looking for.

I recently had to replace the fresh water tank in my van conversion, and had to rebuild the space for a larger tank. I got this to ad the new filler location. It works well for its purpose and is easy to install. I do wish it was a slightly larger diameter to match the 1 1/2" inlet on most of the conversion water tanks. It made attaching the filler hose and getting it tight a little difficult. I also didn't use the air vent as my tank is already plumbed with an air vent. The cap is also a small turn to lock in on and off, and I'd prefer a threaded version. On the recent drive down to Baja with lots of potholes, I found the cap had come off.
