This tape seems to be as thick and sticky as the more expensive brands. It could be used for multiple applications on an RV or around the house, for repairing tears or sealing gaps, anywhere you want to tape things together securely.

This very wide, long, and thick white tape is extremely sticky, so be sure where you're going to place it, because once you cut it and peel it, you will want to place it gradually and smoothly from one end of the repair to the other, and not have to pull it back up which could be very difficult and messy. Make sure the surface is clean and dry first. It is going to stick very strongly and not come off, leak, tear, or blow loose, although I still allowed a cure time and tried to apply it in hot weather to ensure the adhesive could attach well. I was glad they offered this tape in a white color because I was trying to repair a white roof awning so the tape would match and blend in. It's an awning we installed over our side patio that got damaged a while back from one of the strong storms that seem to come more frequently now. We hadn't been home when the storm unexpectedly popped up so we didn't have a chance to take the awning down and it had to endure the strong winds which ended up creating a slit down one side, which I'm surprised it held up that well without more damage. So I ordered this tape hoping it would work, and it actually did amazingly well. You can hardly tell that the repair has been done because it blends in. It's super thick and sticky tape, so not going to let water through, not going to pull apart in the wind, and doesn't seem like it could easily dry out either. But I'm not planning to let this awning accidentally get left up again during a storm anyways, and hopefully the awning and tape won't ever be exposed to extreme weather again, but I think the tape could handle it.

I ordered this RV Roof Tape to seal a leak coming in through the skylight of my 10-year-old 5th wheel trailer. It only leaks when we have a windy storm, but now that I added a layer of this sealant tape around the perimeter of the skylight it doesn't leak any more. This product is similar to other sealant tapes I have used in the past. It's super sticky, which is good. I always make sure to clean the surface very well before I apply the sealant tape, and I do it in warm weather, when possible, so the tape is more malleable and squishes down into any gaps in the seal.Worked well for me.

My RV is coming up on 10 years, and the roof joints are splitting and causing leaks. Instead of slathering on goop, I wanted something that would seal well and look nice. I wish it had been a little less "white" so that it would not even be noticeable, but it works great and you really can't see it on the roof unless you're up there.Amazon didn't package it well and it got a bit crushed on the ride over, but I let it sit in the sun and when I laid it down it adhered really well and there weren't any creases that I couldn't get out with a gentle application of heat from my heat gun. It's not raining much in Texas right now, but when it does this fall/winter I'll report back if any leaks or other issues develop. My tests with the garden hose didn't reveal any issues, but we'll see how it stands up to freezing cold and days-upon-days worth of constant rain.

Just did a repair on my 2022 5th RV. Last fall I noticed on one of my three slides, that the factory sealant tape was thinned out and the fastener head were wearing through the tape. I did a quick fix and put some polyurethane sealant over the heads.I just did an inspection one the roof of the RV, found a spot in one of the slides, an outside corner, the roof membrane cover had pulled out from under the flange that terminates the roof cover.I suspect that the membrane work its way out from expansion and contraction. Its probably likely, either there was not enough adhesive applied when the membrane was installed, or that moisture did infiltrate under the cover and resulted in delamination. Or Both.I had just received the RV Roof Tape, 4 Inch × 50 Feet RV Roof Sealant Tape White, RV Sealant Tape for RV Roof Repair, Window, Trailers, Boat Sealing Leak, Seal Vents, Stop Camper Roof Leaks, UV-Resistant and Weatherproof. I had anticipated inspecting the roof and thought I should get just in case.Well...just in case happened as it did. I noticed in one corner-edge of a slide-out, the membrane bulging. I was able to pull back the corner-edge and found the roof deck exposed.I ended up going back from the corner-edge to about 3 ft inward. Removed sealant tape and fasteners. Cleaned and primed the area. I did use acetone to prime (but only the area i intended to use the new sealant tape.I do have to say. If you are in the world of RV'ing. RV roof sealant tape is good material to have available at the ready just in case. The RV Roof Tape, 4 Inch × 50 Feet RV Roof Sealant Tape White, RV Sealant Tape for RV Roof Repair, Window, Trailers, Boat Sealing Leak, Seal Vents, Stop Camper Roof Leaks, UV-Resistant and Weatherproof , works great. It adheres nicely efficiently and effectively.TIP: The tape has release paper on the adhesive side. Size and layout your sealant tape. Once positioned, peel and pull the release paper at the same time repositioning the tape as necessary. Press in the adhesive tape with a silicone seam tape roller. It's important to prep the area. Clean and prime the surface before the facilitating the tape. Do not use soap, degreaser, orange cleaner, etc. They will leave a film residue and the adhesive will fail. The bond will not properly take. Also be mindful application temps. 40 degrees and rising with sun, allowing ample time for the adhesive to work and seal. Dry conditions must existOverall a good, product. Easy to work with, and looks clean and smooth if done properly. The release paper is easy to remove. The tape responds nicely when positioning (when working in the sun). I highly recommend. Great adhesion qualities. For the RV life its super affordable. Little cost compared, to a costly water damage repair. I inspect the RV roof monthly, if not every 2-3 weeks.Keep in mind your RV roof expands and contracts. The roof membrane expands and contracts. And if you travel often. The whole RV twists and binds. It may look fine one day and you can go back a week or two later, conditions may have changed.
