I used this as my primer to repaint a rusty fridge. First I sanded rust off, wiped down then put two coats of this on waiting an hour between coats. The next day I used my fingernails and the primer didn’t scratch. Lightly sanded and it was ready for the color coat. Worked great. This is a good quality primer and I knew I would need that for this to work. Very happy.

This stuff was awesome. Pic is obviously a work in progress lol. Almost no smell and it went on well. I did use two coats. I started painting gold (also rust oleum) and it went on fantastic over the primer.

Goes on easy and defintely sticks better to to bare metal than the regular paint. I like the color alot , almost wanted to not put a top coat but ending up just so it’ll last long

I useded to take off all the rusted paint bubbles in the tractor bucket, I first grinded the bucket down, washed thoroughly, then painted multiple coats with a small roller. Sticks well and protects from further rusting. Price was good too. Color is nice primer light gray.

Used to prolong the life of some aluminum rain gutters. After surface prep it was applied with a brush. A month ago, it was still doing its job.

I painted a new aluminum sheet, 2'X7', with this primer. I sanded the aluminum with 220 sand paper before painting. After a week of drying I was painting an adjacent area and taped the edge of the above sheet. I removed the tape immediately after painting and the tape pulled the primer off the aluminum.

Works well, but only time will tell how long it will prevent oxidation from causing it to fail. I used this to prime the aluminum frame on my screen porch. Some of the posts are 5 inch square aluminum posts, and after time, the aluminum oxidized and cause the paint to buckle and peel off. The section I used this on as a test was the post next to a door. I used a sanding disk on my orbital sander, and removed all oxidation from the metal. It has to be shiny, and without any discoloration. Then wipe the metal clean with denatured alcohol, let it dry by wiping it dry with a paper towel, then wait a short time and prime the metal. I used a foam brush to get a really smooth finish. Wait for it to dry so you can lightly sand it before the final coat of paint. It has been over a month of rain and the metal still looks like new, only time will tell how long the repair will last. I have a lot more aluminum on the porch to fix. The most important detail in my work is about getting the metal clean and free of all oxidation. If you leave any amout, no matter how small, it will grow and cause the paint to buckle and peel.

Product is fine. Shipping box looked OK on the outside. One of the paint lids came loose and some of the paint escaped into the sealed plastic bag that the can was in. Since there was a plastic bag around the can, I expect that this has happened before. Not much paint - more of an annoyance than anything.
