This golf ball pick up fits over the putter grip that has a round top. Basically pull it over the grip to fit it in place..like putting a sock on..not as wide as the red one that is sold by the same company. Tight fit into a 14 sleeve golf bag slot..ball occasionally drops out when retrieving from pin hole..but it works..a little expensive for only one.

I have tried the usual suspects in the past, the ones that screw in to the bottom of the grip (then quickly wear a large hole in the butt and fall out), and detest them. Typically they are rather hard to get the ball out, which causes the screw to wobble out a hole in the grip itself.These go over the butt end, quite deeply and snugly such that I imagine having to cut the thing off it there is reason to remove it. NICE! You will need a good grip to get this retriever on, if grip is an issued a younger friend or possibly needle nose or similar pliers.Once mounted the other difference becomes an immediate asset - the cup. Unlike the screw mounted retrievers to grip is softer and has more crenelations. This makes it easier to get a grip on the ball, then when I want to get the ball I simply roll one crenelation down with my thumb, breaking the suction, and the ball comes right out. Couldn't be easier.

I like that it is black so it does not stand out as much on the putter. It picks up the ball most of the time, as much as you could expect. But it is a little bit thick when picking the ball up out of the cup with the pin still in. It works most of the time, but is scrapping the cup. For that I decked the one star, it could be made just a little bit thinner. But the heavier rubber is also good, so . . .

This ball retriever easily attaches to your putter grip. I have a weight inserted in the grip, so there was no option of installing a cup that screws into the grip. The attachment is tight enough to stay on the putter grip when I stuff the putter in my bag. I was concerned that it might come off in the bag, but it has stayed tight.

As a ball picker-upper this thing works great. Unfortunately it is too large to fit into most golf bag club sleeves so I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to use it. If you have a bag with an oversized, designated putter spot it may fit. It need 1 3/4 inch minimum to fit in.
